stupidly ordered from here three times
stupidly ordered from here three times but never again all lobsters and tails arrived fine and on time but were much smaller than as advertised order one i didn t check weight on the 1 1-1 2lb lobsters because why would i they re selling a luxury product at a good not cheap price second shipment i noticed that the most of 5-6 oz tails i ordered looked more like the 3oz ones i can get at a local grocer OUT HERE IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DESERT CITIES and on weighing them on two scales were under 5 oz smallest was 4 45 oz and didn t even average above 5 oz for the 8 of them thought okay maybe it was a fluke raised the issue with customer service which is actually just Zendesk read no customer service at all and was told We apologize for any discrepancies Please do so in weighing the live lobsters as well as the tails and let us know with a picture if there are any issues and we ll certainly look to help LOOK TO HELP that s customer service third shipment order placed at the same time as order two for later delivery was 8 more 1 1-1 2 live lobsters which arrived nicely but only 1 lobster largest was 1 15lb and the smallest was just 14 ounces again 8 lobsters didn t even average the bottom weight of 1 1 on reading more reviews it s clear these folks are shorting customers on a daily basis and want the customer to prove that what they shipped isn t what they ordered and they KNOW IT TO BE SO read more reviews to see how consistent they are about shorting their customers the sheer volume of customers posting here proves it s no fluke there s good reason getmainelobster com is rated so badly wish i d checked before buying you should i ll gladly pay more elsewhere

Ordered buy 10 get 10 free lobster tails and more than half were bad I did received a refund for the bad tails but that did not make up for a ruined holiday dinner for

Under weight lobster tails
Received my order for 4 5-6oz and 4 free lobster tails After defrosting 2 to cook they looks small Weighed them and both were under 5oz Plus they had a lot of gunk had to clean them out The taste was bland and NOT sweet at all Called customer service and this was their response I sent pictures of the under weight tails on my scale They want me to cook the remaining 6 tails I m one person it will take me a while to try the rest CS rep also said I could get a coupon or credit or something I ll never order from them again So it sounds like I won t be getting I my 175 00 back They are a bait and switch company Do not order from them You ve been warned Thank you Marianne for the pictures I apologize for this packing issue As we ve discussed with you on the phone Please weigh and cook the remaining tails whenever it is convenient for you and email us after that I ll make a note on your order about this issue and will assist accordingly when we get the complete information of all the tails in your order Looking forward to your reply Maryann PoradaGetMaineLobster com866-562-4817

Stay away Don t waste your money Buy 4 large get 4 free for over 200 2 of the 8 were large one had green gunk through it 5 were no larger than 4 ounces instead of 6 to 8 Bait and switch Had to go out and buy for a holiday dinner party Costco I should not have had to spend another 200 to stave off embarrassment Trouble is I also ordered as a shipped gift Probably the same nonsense Sooo embarrassing and not cheap I was happy customer last year Never again

They never ever had a problem with their shipments in 10 years though they encourage you to pay 5 25 dollars for safe live lobsters just in case I will never buy anything from this company I hope nobody else will 175 plus down the toilet

Do not order from this place it a scam I place a order for dec 12 2020 never came in the order got lost and I been tracking everyday said coming tomorrow after tomorrow so I write a email to them and they email me w answer said will give you another order for half price I was very happy about it but is on top of what you pay 349 I ask for refund no refund bad business

muddy tasting lobster
We ordered 3 pound lobster and cooked them the day they arrived The service was great The price was ludicrous 350 for 2 three pound lobster but it was the taste that ruined it Apparently Black Point Seafood keeps their live lobsters in Backbay while they await buyers The lobster tasted like muck - both of them The tamale was inedible The rest was just muddy tasting Lobster takes on the flavor of their environment They really need clean cold water Black Point lobsters do not get it I won t order from GetMaineLobster com again and recommend that no one else does

Very disappointed
Very disappointed 2 tails seemed a bit off 4 Woopee pies were in the bottom of the box and crushed The lobster bisque had NO Zero lobster in it Unlike other companies that are loaded with lobster Every recipe I looked at called for lobster meat They wanted me to return the bad tails said the lobster bisque traditionally doesn t contain lobster meat but at 14 95 for a pint of Lobster Bisque with no lobster meat And no return and No meat they said we could still eat the pies even if they are crushed and broken open They refused to refund anything or compromise

The worst tasting lobster I have ever experienced Order arrived and everything was frozen but most of the order was missing We cooked up the very small supposedly 4lb lobster tails No where near that Tasted like very old and very salty Maybe preserved in extra salt Absolutely horrible Called Moe Beaudry of Maine lobster and was pretty much told he didn t care But he would knock 10 off next order Total waste of money

Do not order from this company the lobsters are neither sweet nor succulent They tasted mucky old and were so dirty I doubt they get their lobsters from Maine I had better lobsters from my local grocery store I spoke to Mark about my order but he was so delusional about my concerns and didn t want to hear it He tried to blame me for ordering online and stated this is what happens when you order seafood online you ll get bad seafood It s ok Mark I will never order from your company AGAIN I should have read the reviews before ordering from here My fault for wasting 253 on this company
