Is it possible to give less than one

Is it possible to give less than one star I have never had any issue with online testing proctorio but ProctorU was mandatory for my class Nightmare Horrible Nightmare After a two hours of having technical difficulties I still could not take my test I was informed that it was my connection issue but all of my internet speed tests passed with flying colors Never ever ever use ProctorU

proctors are discriminatory

proctors are discriminatory based on appearances The last test I took I was well dressed business casual no question on my testing area not 1 interruption This time in my PJs sitting in the exact same spot I was prevented from starting my test for over an hour I had to contact a manager to get them to let me start because the room wasn t suitable all of the sudden Then I was interrupted 5 times for adjusting in my chair All 4 of these people treated me like a delinquent I am a 25 year old healthcare professional II pay for better I deserve better

Unauthorized permission error

Unauthorized permission error so I could not write my exam That should not be the student s issue to deal with We are just there to do an exam not to make sure the software is competent with perfectly good working equipment This security error could have never been predicted in advance because it had nothing to do with the student s equipment Turning off firewall or doing anything from the student end did not solve this system-level incompetence Worse service ever NEVER USE IT IF YOU CAN AVOID

They Lie about what kind of access they have on your computer

ProctorU claims that their software consists only of a browser extension and logmein session They also claim that the proctor cannot perform hidden actions The reality is that they run a batch script to install software onto your computer that will last even after following the removal instructions on their website If you can take your test any other way AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Awful

Awful I went through all the scheduling processes etc waited for my arbitrary exam session to start just to learn that because I m on a work laptop the permissions for proctor U to access my device dont exist There s no support for issues like this so now im just screwed

The worst

I was not notified about having to show my room or a mirror A person who watched an exam opened a few browsers without asking saw my open windows and bookmarks changed tons of settings and never turned it back how it was two days later I still don t understand if I passed or not I feel that my security was compromised and I still can t turn all the setting to how it was before

Mentally Exhausting Terrible Experience Incompetent Proctors

My ProctorU experience has made every lockdown browser type of application a dream that I would take any day over this horrendous excuse for a proctoring service My first proctor sent me over to a new person who thought I was done with the exam that I hadn t even started 20min into my session He proceeded to make me go through the agonizing room-check that I already did with the previous proctor who left He couldn t even figure out how to get to the exam would have me do it and then got the password wrong multiple times to the exam After finally getting into the exam an hour later I went about it and when I was finished I verbally mentioned that I am done and will be turning it in It took him like 10min to respond saying hello hello you there as if I wasn t the one who was trying to get his attention first Aren t they supposed to be sitting at the computer proctoring the whole time how does it take so long for him to respond every time The communication was garbage As I was narrating what I was doing to turn the exam in it still took him minutes to respond I could only imagine that he wasn t actively at his computer the whole time Once I finally had it turned in he said we couldn t disconnect until I filled out that questionnaire to rate the proctor I asked if I could do that after I disconnect because how is it fair if he s watching me rate him So of course I couldn t write how awful of a proctor he was because there was an imbalance of power as he watched me fill it out For all I know I rate him badly and he screws me over I begrudgingly just chose the satisfied option I really wanted to write an entire essay but I could not Absolutely horrible experience and I am not looking forward to having to take another exam with this I will not be doing another class that requires this kind of testing I rather sit through a 3 hour long in-person class a few days a week than ever do this again I would even rather sit right next to a teacher as they watch me take an exam in-person over this mess I can only hope I perform decently on the exam considering I am literally too mentally exhausted before even taking the exam from just the agonizing setup of the whole thing

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless There are no clear instructions on where to go once logged in the pop-up windows that are supposed to launch don t actually open the staff are hopeless - just advise to restart your computer so they can end the chat session so you become someone else s problem when you log in again Just total nightmare and more stress than necessary After two hours of trying and 21 different consultants I officially gave up trying to complete my exam
