Cancellation refund not being honoured

Cancellation refund not being honoured We are facing the same issue as the earlier reviewer We booked for Greenman Festival and following months of delays by Hotel Bell Tent despite our repeated chasers to them we were kept waiting with no clear response The only responses we had were delaying tactics promising a full response in a months time They have now offered us 80 refund and that is not acceptable to us Transferring to next year is not an option for us and we do not trust this company will even exist any longer A search on their company and owners indicates that there are multiple trading entities and they could so easily let them go bust covering their tracks and liabilities Their own facebook page is littered by complaints from many customers asking for full refund and everyone complaining of intentional delays on the part of Hotel Bell Tent

80 refund for Sstone Classic 2020 not acceptable

Due to Silverstone Classic 2020 being cancelled and 2021 not being and option I also have needed to cancel my booking Unfortunately I also have been offered an 80 refund This is not acceptable I won t be receiving the service so I wish to receive my funds for the service I won t receive The Competition and Markets Authority would expect for you to treat customers fairly who are also being affected by the current COVID-19 climate and provide a refund to a customer that hasnt received your service

Think twice about booking

Beware of this company I was really disappointed in how this company have handled cancellations I had to chase for an update at every point to be told to wait various times until I really pushed it people were not treated fairly as they will tell you as I know they were dealing with events happening after mine before I had my refund and emails were clearly copy and pasted as a couple of times the emails sent to me referred to various events not the one I had booked for it s so unprofessional I have also only been refunded 80 of what I paid for my booking as they are keeping the rest for their company and staff their wording I have not been offered the rest in voucher like others nor would I accept it I would not rebook with them ever

Ignored my request for 100 refund

Me again so after my last post and declining the 80 refund I was still offered the 80 refund with discount vouchers for 2021 or 2022 or a review in October for a further refund no amount mentioned I declined this and advised I will be contacting my Credit Card provider to commence section 75 of the consumer credit act So today I am disgusted that Tiffany at Hotel Bell Tent has ignored my decline and refunded 80 of what I paid in February with mentions of discount vouchers which I have not accepted I find this very underhand and wonder what they consider to be good customer service

Awful company - terrible ethics and customer care

Echoing the experiences of other reviewers this is an appalling company in terms of ethics and how they treat their customers We were booked to attend the Love Supreme festival last summer which was obviously cancelled due to Covid There were no issues in receiving a full and timely refund from the festival organisers Sadly when it came to Hotel Bell Tent things were very different from the start Firstly they didn t reach out to us at all and initially ignored our emails until such time as we threatened legal action and then we suddenly received a reply Like others we were told we could have an 80 refund and 20 voucher After pushing back on this and politely explaining to their co-founder Tiffany Hunt that they must offer us a full refund as per the Competition and Markets Authority CMA guidance on events affected by Covid-19 we were then offered 90 of our money back with 10 being retained by them It s a really bad sign in my eyes when somebody s holding back a further refund in the hope that you will fold for a lower amount - as they were clearly doing with the initial 80 offer Tiffany explained that the 10 was a non-recoverable fee as per the terms and conditions of our booking made in November 2019 Pretty impressive that Hotel Bell Tent foresaw the Covid-19 pandemic - it s a shame they didn t let the scientists know After several chases we were provided with a word document purporting to be the relevant T Cs We have no way of verifying if these were the terms from 2019 but in any case they are still superseded by the CMA guidance In a time when so many businesses in the hospitality and entertainment industries are suffering it disappoints and saddens me greatly to have to share this terrible experience It s the polar opposite to every other interaction I ve had with affected hotels restaurants even airlines - where they have dealt with the situation with care and been completely transparent about offering full refunds We will be pursuing Hotel Bell Tent for the remaining 10 of our booking and I urge anyone in a similar position to familiarise yourself with CMA guidance and take the same action I genuinely hope the company will see the error of their ways in terms of customer care but sadly I feel that they are so desperate to be right that it has blinded them to the damage they are doing to their brand in the long term

Do not book anything with this company

After having dealt with this company twice with a group booking once last year and now again they offered our group 80 refund saying they needed to cover their costs of being furlough 4 members of our group was nice enough to rebook for this year as a nice gesture but are unable to attend and have requested a refund and again only 80 refund offered So for a group booking this company has taken 20 from a group of 10 people for doing absolutely nothing and most of our group needed that money back Disgusting lining their pockets for doing nothing I have logged a complaint with my bank

Bless Maria

Hi have had time to think about writing this as more I think about it the more let down I feel Bless my dear wife Maria booked this as a surprise for me and a bit of a retirement present so I did not want to have her feel that I was ungreatfull but as I know so many people and come from a very large family I could not help but say how it was which is a shame as this was a tester for a very large group of us to try but don t think now that will happen Can t fault the staff very friendly and helpful but the tent and facilities were now where near up to the amount paid for it was looking forward to using swimming pool but not to be then in my eyes a blow up bed on the floor is camping not clamping then at least chairs and a table to sit at like in you photos the only saving grace was the island and the locals and the TT sowill go back and hopefully persuade all my friends and family to join us to be honest I could write so much but it will probably make no difference what so ever you have taken our money and that s life it would be lovely to think you would reimburse us for what we did not get but what a shame for Maria bless her Have now had reply and it was what I expected just saying that it was what was in the package and would have to spend even more money to get things better so will put it down to life and it s a shame we paid up front as would have deducted what we felt we did not get for our money which I felt was plenty for what there was hey how you Lerner something every day some good some not so good
