Successfully completed a Novice to Day Skipper course with Jolly Parrot Sailing and had Ian Goodwin as the instructor for the day skipper theory and practical element Ian was an excellent instructor for both theory and practical and instilled the confidence to get an ICC and successfully take out a bareboat charter without any dramas Highly recommend Jolly Parrot and Ian

My husband and I just completed our RYA Skipper training with your team in Gibraltar and have only positive things to say We would like to extend our utmost thanks to Clive Rachel Mark and Ian Booking process Was a very simple and secure online payment good value for money Location The area that was chosen for was fantastic It was a great place to learn Mediterranean mooring techniques Mark is an absolute professional world-class RYA skipper and Inspiring instructor with entertaining and hilarious stories The Sail The skipper expected high standards for the RYA qualification and everything was very professional It was incredible to sail in Gibraltar our first time We were very lucky with the weather which was very holiday like we were surprised to be sailing with dolphins and tuna We will definitely be back

Had a great novice to day skipper week very hard work but great fun with very skilled and enthusiastic instructors Special mention to Ian who taught competent crew Hayley for all her patience in day skipper theory and Greg for his great instruction of Day Skipper Practical

I completed the 16-week Fast-Track program with Jolly Parrot starting as a complete beginner with no prior sailing experience From the moment I stepped aboard the instructors Ian Greg Rob and Jason became my guides transforming my raw inexperience into something far more seasoned and confident With their patience skill and unshakable belief in every student they taught me far more than I could have imagined If you re considering joining I can wholeheartedly recommend Jolly Parrot The program is well-structured and the instructors are highly knowledgeable making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to develop their sailing skills

Had an amazing time on my comp crew course Roger D was a great instructor he is passionate and knowledgeable about sailing and I learnt a lot despite the inescapable heat It was a little cramped with two of the crew sleeping in the communal space We all had to get along but all the crew were lovely The negatives I d say were not all the instructors seem quite as professional or passionate as ours and sometimes there may be too many students to instructors Also the boat interior could have used a refurb as there were cupboard doors and other things that were broken no safety concerns or things to interrupt learning but still a little sub par High point the instructor gave time for fun in between learning we anchored and jumped off the boat for a swim which was great All in all it was a great experience we went from 6 strangers to feeling like family in a week

I was very fortunate to have Mark as my Skipper for the weekend sail to Africa and back He has sailed around the world in a race and has great experience I learned how to helm tack make a bowline knot tidy ropes and more Oh yes and sail with dolphins and flying fish In Ceuta we got to explore the area and find a great restaurant The weather conditions were fantastic for smooth sailing

Did the novice to dayskipper course and had so much fun I stayed on for a mile builder Great staff that are friendly experienced and knowledgeable When you join Jolly Parrot you join a big family of staff and guests New instructor Greg made the night watches fly by whilst big Ian made me feel safe and competent building my skills Josh is a great teacher for breaking you into the world of sailing whilst Tom was very calm whilst we learned the ropes Great value for money Will be returning

My son and I completed the start yachting course We both had a lot of fun and it was a good experience sailing to Ceuta Our instructor Greg was very welcoming and eager to teach Overall we enjoyed our time with Jolly Parrot and would prefer them again for the more advanced courses

Just completed the Day skipper fast track and whole experience has been great Greg was a brilliant and confident instructor making everyone feel relaxed I would highly recommend taking any courses with him

Just completed 2 weeks with Jolly Parrot Sailing Really great experience We did Competent Crew followed by Day Skipper theory and Day Skipper practical The organisation was really good and Jason our instructor on the two practical sections was amazing He is a great teacher tailoring explanations to everyone s needs and adjusting to abilities We felt safe at all times and have learned a huge amount of skills and information Ian was our theory instructor and he too is a great teacher of a lot of information in a short space of time I would thoroughly recommend the whole experience for anyone interested in sailing Not only do you learn a lot but it is great fun being with the crews and meeting other aspiring sailors
