Hair found in food

Went to Kokoro today and ordered noodles and chicken Found a big grey hair in my food I couldn t eat my food after that The colleague was apologetic but guess that s not the point

A novel way to try Japanese style prepared food but what a hefty price tag for such small portions

Having eaten Japanese food in real Japanese restaurants in London and in Japan I have eaten Korean food in Korea and Chinese food in China I was interested to try out this restaurant in Hastings which offers a blend of Korean Japanese food What first impacted on me is that this is clearly a franchise along the lines of a Subway style fast food outlet As with subway packaged food is relatively fresh when dropped off at the outlet though we cannot escape the fact it involves an element of processed food though nicely presented Packaged food is freshly prepared on the premises though we need to think about the marketing use of the word freshly Factoring in the prices the restaurant could certainly do with more customer space authentic staff and on a sunny day there is basic seating outside Take away is available which brings us back to the processed packaged food element The food is ok but certainly not on a par with real fresh food outlets in Taiwan China Korea or Japan but I can understand the differences are unavoidable We are in the UK and this is in fact a franchise a business idea targeting providing food in a style which looks different You get rice noodles seaweed vegetables chicken and seasonings which are different to what you are used to The word Sushi simply means how a combination of foods are prepared presented to a consumer Real Japanese soups are incredibly good and the real deals come in a hefty large bowl with lots noodles meat vegetables and exciting tastes and real such food outlets can be found in London well worth the trip I found on offer in Kokoro the use of small bowls small portions and high prices This is a novelty franchise where you can get a snack if you are in a hurry fast food I suspect the appeal is that we get a feeling of trying a different type of fast food It is all in the marketing liberal usage of wording for healthy fresh food etc I gave it a try I still really do like genuine freshly prepared Japanese soups etc and for Korean food Kimchi pickled cabbage is ok and they do eat a lot of rice and fish But none of these compare to the extensive choices of foods meals and broad variety of seasonings available from Chinese restaurants When I buy a meal I want to feel like I have had a meal and not a nicely presented expensive snack

Kokoro StainesThe hot food was cold when I told the Server she put it back in the microwave for 1 minute it came back tepid It was sweet and sour chicken Chicken and fish should never be reheated The chicken was tough and tasteless and noodles greasy My granddaughter wanted to go but I would never go back Overpriced for poor quality food and no service I put mine in the bin She had cold sushi but the tuna and avocado roles had a weird bitter taste so she didnt eat them Not a great experience I felt cheated

Kokora Bracknell If we could give 0 stars we would We ordered and paid for food last night Got to the restaurant on time to collect food the next evening The appalling manager told us the food wasn t ready until an hr later even tho I was there within my designated time slot and ample food was ready and on show Chucked us a tub of ubbish to feed 3 people The manger was very abrupt and unhelpful embarrassing that she chose to treat and talk to a customer like she did in-front of staff and other customers who also walked out Argumentative unhelpful embarrassing The small amount of food we tried was cold bland and tasteless Please please stay well away Chopsticks is only around the corner The food there is fresh hot and tasty Staff also very kind and helpful

Delivery service is painful to setup

When you can t pay for food because Deliveroo are having a fit with new customers trying to order on PayPal or credit card Ordered pizza instead not a problem ordering direct from restaurant

KOKORO - a waste of hard earned money

Tuesday 9 January at 10 33am I ordered a sweet and sour chicken from Kokoro in Guildford Surrey costing 12 33 the courier was Deliveroo Just Eat don t deliver for Kokoro There was no sweet and sour taste and what appeared were black bits of meat which were unidentifiable and as tough as old leather boots An inedible meal and a waste of hard earned money
