Booking was a shambles

Booking was a shambles Chose holiday dates 2 weeks and flights from Birmingham Got through to payment apparently something had gone wrong Tried again but the holiday was no longer available Looked an hour later 2 weeks available again Payment appeared to be accepted but again something had gone wrong Checked back holiday not available website repeatedly changed 14 nights to 7 nights Eventually 10pm managed to book and got confirmation Hope the holiday is better than the booking experience

Shady treatment of customers

Same experience Holiday cancelled - understandable Refund would take longer than normal - ok maybe but hard to believe it isn t automated 5 weeks later - no refund but you can have a voucher Did an Amex chargeback which seems to have worked Hard to believe they will have a viable business after treating customers like this

Just witnessed a Neilson flotilla crew

Just witnessed a Neilson flotilla crew member tell a local tourist he had to move his much smaller boat to accommodate docking of their much larger yachts Under whose authority do you have right to do this This happened in Kalamos Greece The smaller boat being owned by a Greek national Do you wonder why there s animosity towards such arrogance from the Neilson Company

Stayed at the Alana Beach Club There was a vomiting diarrhoea bug circulating Neilson suspected it was norovirus Over 50 people at the resort had it ruined our holiday Unfortunately Neilson weren t following hygiene standards e g continued with a self-serve buffet with all guests touching the same utensils I asked why they hadn t switched to an attended service as soon as they were aware of sickness and didn t get a satisfactory answer I brought quite a few other hygiene things to their attention too This stuff isn t rocket science UK government has published guidance on controlling norovirus

Messini Beach Club Not the holiday I hoped for

Flights were moved to very early in the morning and very late at night soon after we booked Complete muck up on the rooms I booked and double checked via phone with Neilson wednesday before leaving Hotel manager totally unhelpful and unapologetic Food has gone downhill most of it tasteless Waterski sailing pool bar and tennis teams were fantastic saving grace

Callus handling of a difficult situation

We booked a family group for my husbands 70th birthday in September He has since been diagnosed with several health issues which will make the holiday difficult if not impossible Neilsen have shown no sympathy whatsoever They only suggestion was maybe we might be able to swop to next year with an additional cost of 400 to change the booking Terrible

BEWARE stolen bag no duty of care

BEWARE - Bad experience at Messini beach club September 23 Our suitcase was stolen from reception after checking out at 10am and leaving our luggage in reception as instructed by Neilson Left in full view of reception desk amongst all other bags and away from the door There is cctv only outside The theft was not covered by our insurance because the bags were left unattended Neilsons insurance refused the claim for the same reason despite the bags being left in their care DO NOT THINK YOUR INSURANCE WILL COVER YOU Still unresolved with Neilson - very disappointing response from them regarding duty of care They have offered less than 1 3 of the value of the bag contents

Unable to contact package company day before holiday Links sent for checking in to flight didn t work

Unable to check in flights booked as part of a Nielsen package Travelling tomorrow Sunday cannot contact Nielsen by phone on a Saturday and their online chat isn t working Thankfully the carrier Jet2 rescued the day but opening impression Nielson is very poor

We were very disappointed

We were very disappointed with the activity availability food and teens options We booked and paid for Neilson expecting a premium experience but unfortunately this was not the case Many of the activities were unavailable having been pre-booked by customers prior to the trip and there seemed to be no interest in reviewing capacity The Kids Clubs were variable There were no dedicated watersports clubs for teens unlike Hotshots so 14 teens were lumped together in the adult sessions missing a great opportunity for them There appeared to be a lack of senior leadership overview and there was poor visibilty of the managers We will not be booking again

Suspicious pricing practices

Planned a family holiday with Nielson On checkout there was a timer so we made sure to pay in that time After entering credit card details they rejected the booking and when trying to rebook the price increased by 25
