This is our 10th summer activity holiday 4 with MW and 6 with Neilson This is our 2nd time to Messini For us it was the Tuesday flight that made the whole week feel discombobulated The children have to make friends to others who already know each other which in the end was ok but made for a wobbly start You arrive late Tuesday evening The Wednesday as a normal day and then two late days back to back you loose sync Activities already booked up with other guests left with limited options and to only join in to what was available later in the week Then kids club presentations and awards are on Saturday this falling mid week to our holiday felt strange The week is clearly geared up to the Sunday arrivals Food was delicious as always but three evening out of the restaurant is excessive There were some excellent nannies but on the whole it felt like it lacked lustre to other years we maybe heard the kids chanting their songs only twice in the week we were there It did not have the buzz and high energy of other years Then on the last day our younger child went to find their new holiday friends in kids club to be told that they were not allowed to join in even though we did not be leave the resort until 5 30pm that day It seemed unfair to see all their new buddies splashing around in the pools in front of them to what should of been a fun last day of their holiday If we had been told at any point we could of prepared them for this but we did not know Facilities and sports as good as ever our eldest had great fun with good friends made We did have a lovely holiday but not quite as we are used to and sadly think it has put us off booking again or at least never booking mid week flight again

Stayed at the beach resort in Sivota in Greece Very well managed and clean establishment tremendous food and the enthusiasm of the staff was genuine and impressive Excellent position and lush vegitation make it very attractive too Lots of steps to keep you fit No wonder this resort has the highest percentage of return visitors

We had a lovely stay at the Dolomites Inn in Val di Fassa Our room had everything we needed and was very comfortable The staff were friendly and helpful The bar served good beer and a range of other drinks although the ice machine was out of order over Christmas which was unfortunate but I am sure ice could have been made or bought via other methods Meals were tasty and we always had enough food The house wine was very drinkable and over the week the co-ordination and timing of food delivery improved The sauna was excellent The ski bus stopped right outside the hotel and took you to the lifts in a couple of minutes The boot room was excellent We had a great time

Overall a great holiday all the staff were amazing especially the activity staff who were encouraging and super energetic Only downside was many of the activities were booked up within an hour of the welcome talk and there was no action to increase the capacity which was annoying Apart from that great holiday

We have had many good holidays with Neilson - traveling with a group of friends for a mid- May break This year we were persuaded to go with Mark Warner instead What a mistake They have only just admitted the holiday is cancelled but are not offering a refund credit note - just a like for like offer for next May or a credit note to rebook at some other pointi in summer 2020 or 2021 They will seemingly not give us our money back under any circumstances You are lucky that Neilson are going to give yours back at some point in the future Personally I wouldn t have a problem waiting for a refund to give Neilson a lifeline I just want everyone that is slamming Neilson to know how much worse Mark Warner is - in case you thought of changing brands

Excellent hotel Neilson staff activities Very clean good food and well organised Only criticism was incredibly loud music from the gym which meant often unable to hear tennis coaches on adjacent courts

We tried to book a holiday for 2024 The website didn t complete the transaction on 2 occasions so when we tried to contact the help line as it advised The office was closed Perhaps it should have said contact office on Monday and given opening hours After some perseverance we managed to book the holiday Our experiences with Neilson on the actual holidays have been excellent it is just this booking that we have had trouble with

Great week away all the Neilson treats and activities you would expect Great Sailing and water sports Frostie and his team couldn t do enough for you Only things that let this resort down were a huge hill before you start any cycle ride and the food was the equivalent to a basic 3 star all inclusive

We love Neilson holidays and especially Baia Dei Mori in Sardinia The club is a good small enough to be friendly size and beach is beautiful Activities are well run and kids club great fun Local Italian staff are also very nice Always lovely to see familiar faces every year Pietro Gianni Franco and of course Cipo and Frosty You really feel they want you to have a great holiday The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the facilities are starting to age and some investment is needed in the infra structure Small maintenance issues in the room that will start to become a bigger issue soon and new kit needed on the beach next year But if you want a relaxed activity holiday this is the place

Great Neilson holiday in Airone village with great staff and food Only problem is why is the tennis graded green blue red and black and the windsurfing is beginners or tricks fast tacks daggerless board so called intermediate CAN we please please have something inbetween Maybe basic intermediate and advanced intermediate or do we just go away and come back after 5 years practice Signed a frustrated want to be wind surfer
