My chapter leaders have pretty much

My chapter leaders have pretty much been MIA my entire membership It is really difficult to get ahold of them and there aren t emails of upcoming events I paid to be an executive member but unlike the original orientation no one was available to follow up or check-in to ensure all the steps were taken I get spammed with products to purchase but little to do with events I would not have signed up for NSLS if I had known this would be the outcome

NSLS is Not For Me But May Be Right For You

I belong to many Honor Societies none of which made me pay to be part of them The FIRST thing you MUST do is to give them ALL of your personal information then the billing method then your shipping address You are NOT told exactly why you are going to get besides the regalia I already have so much regalia from honor societies it s unreal - I have 7 sashes about 10 medals of recognition and then a whole bunch of other stuff In the honor societies I already belong to I was nominated by my professors - a real nomination that I had to VERIFY m my GPA goals and lead ship abilities through giving a resume and having letters of reference to join I was then accepted for FREE However with NSLS the first thing you MUST do to see the POSSIBLE 400 000 00 in scholarships and other items you may be interested in is to pay the lifetime dues Then it s add this and add that wait for this exclusive offer for just 89 00 MORE you can get XYZ I ve not read any reviews yet that actually have students from this prestigious honor society post about how they got college paid for or received any scholarships I ve only read reviews from what I can assume are the chapter advisors posting how wonderful it is The wording the tone the excitement and other vocabulary used is so similar that it cannot possibly be from real students An Honor Society that REQUIRES money upfront to join seems more like a scam to me than much of anything else If you are as prestigious and WANT me as bad as you claim in the THOUSANDS OF EMAILS you send then you should NOT be asking me for money upfront to even join before I can even see what you are offering me in terms of leadership opportunities and various of experiences you re writing about All the reviews and Google searches come back with the same results when you type in Is the NSLS a real honor society They all just copy what their website says For me this is a sign of a scam honor society that cares more about money than anything else I know this because I have spoken to a couple of friends that have received the expensive cardboard letters with embossed envelopes that DO NOT have the GPA to join so I can personally verify that it s not as selective as they would make it out to seem which are at least VERY expensive - but buying in bulk to send these expensive invitations is only part of the whole money making scheme I want to make sure that anyone reading knows that this is MY experience with the nomination the process and filling out the website information - which I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AND ASKED FOR A FREE CODE through the live chat I was told I could ask to be sponsored if there was funding to do so but that it may not be possible So from my view you re boasting 1 772 682 national members 1 772 682 X 89 00 157 768 698 00 dollars from people that have paid as members In the 157 768 698 00 that you have collected you cannot waive my membership fee since you re telling me how prestigious the honor is to be nominated is and all the benefits I can get as a student This seems VERY off to me This is my OWN opinion and not the reflection of anything except that It may be a great honor society and provide many benefits to its members but at this point in time I don t see how how paying 89 00 just to have a sash and medal at graduation benefits name in any way when I ve already joined other VERY reputable societies that I have not paid for and have had MANY benefits from - especially scholarships When I didn t first accept then the We ve extended the deadline and your nomination emails and physical mail through the mail started That s not WANTING someone to be part of your organization that s wanting the dues fees and marketing if selling items more than being part of a true honor society Take this review with a grain of salt as this may be a very great and important part of your resume and honor society experience however it was not for me as I was turned off by the Pay Is First experience I had rather than Please join us and expletive what we have to offer and if you then decide to pay a OPTIONAL fee for XYZ I may have considered I joining Thank you for taking the time to read my review
