Jewelry course

My materials didn t arrive as promised I had to contact the school to get them In addition the mentoring that was to be part of the program didn t happen Even after contacting the school there was none I was also disappointed by the quality of the tools and beads that were included They were such as could be purchased inexpensively at a big box craft store The videos were very good I felt like I learned quite a bit from them If the mentoring had actually been a part of the program I would have rated it higher

Not so great for the average student

Great class but not for someone who wants to do a class online Not everyone lives in a fashion district ESPECIALLY if they are taking an online course Also the information was a bit outdated and there were too many spelling mistakes and typos to ignore which made the course seem less credible

The Auto cad course was not for Apple

The Auto cad course was not for Apple users but they did not tell me that in the beginning The mentor only worked on wednesdays and was very hard to get ahold of I could not finish the course because the Apple version did not have any furniture library or walls windows etc Tried to get my money back at several occasions but they never replied

Wish the course was better

While I enjoyed the first few lessons the course quickly went downhill from there The slides information and assignments started to become vaguer and vaguer I understand that they want us to use our brain and come up with creative answers but that becomes difficult when the information needed to help make the answers better is not present For example there was a question that was missing a complete section of the problem like they forgot to put it in there When Mrs Davidson enters your office with her daughter Sheri to discuss planning a bat mitzvah you immediately like them both As you ask Mrs Davidson questions about the event she s envisioning she seems to dance around your questions Her responses something fun something colorful don t give you much information to work from However after 20 minutes she informs you that she wants the affair to be a formal sit-down luncheon You however aren t quite so thrilled because you know that many venues are not going to want a live monkey running around their facilities Mrs Davidson assures you that the monkey is well-trained and adorable You bring up your concerns by stating that the presence of the animal will greatly reduce your choice of venues but Mrs Davidson is not discouraged one bit saying Then we ll just have to find a place that loves animals The course also makes the assumption that you re starting your own business which is not the case for most people taking the course The mentor professor keeps telling me to use a template for certain things yet doesn t provide one to use There are assignments that you need to complete that are about things that were never covered in the first place If they want us to learn to do it the right way then they should provide resources i e blank templates full examples of a detailed timeline etc for us to use There are a ton of simple grammatical and spelling errors littered throughout the course and many of the link provided throughout either no longer work or the company it links to has changed and is doing something different from what they originally were doing Do your research when it comes to taking an event planning course

Personal Styling course- filled with errors

This review is for the Personal Styling course- the material is filled with grammatical and spelling errors is outdated and in some cases out of order There is a video that references something that comes up in a later video as if the material was already covered that s just one example Videos will make reference to a popular trend from four years ago but without knowing when the video was actually created and what year that actually was it s not a useful detail Some of the material seems to contradict itself I was expecting more of a back and forth dialogue with my mentor - from my experience the mentors are mainly in place to grade your assignments without some regular check-in component One of the aspects of the program that sold me was the mentor feature but I haven t really seen it in practice I also was sold on the school being licensed by the NYS Education Department but from what I ve seen the quality is lacking and I m kind of ashamed at the wonderful state of New York for licensing the programs I wasn t impressed with the resources and sources cited in the material at all- many sources were links to old websites rather than anything more academic

The information was so out of date

The information was so out of date there was NO information on the applications to do Interior Design on the computer A waste of time and I learned little

Computer Taught - No Instructors

I am extremely disappointed Paid for the class up front believing it was going to be an exciting experience but it s turned out to be chaos and confusion and conflict I submit assignments and get conflicting responses from two different instructors An instructor referred me to a student adviser to query how to do a drawing I challenged the background and qualifications of the instructors who respond by voice messages or e-mails and got no response I challenged the background and qualifications of to instructors and was referred back to the first instructor who allegedly reviewed my assignments I paid for an Interior Design Course and what I am getting is videos and e-mails that I could google and obtain the same information I ve submitted assignments through the website portal and via e-mail directly to the instructor to no avail They offer a RIDQC Certification at a discount price if you pay for it up front but whose to say that you will ever finish the course if the instructors claim they did not get assignments in the same e-mail message that they said your grade has been posted SOMETHING IS TERRIBLY WRONG I should have read some of these reviews before I paid for this class I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT SINCE THERE ARE OTHER PROGRAMS OUT THERE Beware be wise

More money Seriously

I paid for my course in full I don t understand why you give me a certain amount of time to finish the course Then I have to pay MORE to get an extension Absolutely ridiculous I paid the course off I should have all the time in the world to finish it It s my hard earned money going to YOU I work 2 jobs am caring for a sick parent You tell me when I have time to finish it I m very upset that it was pretty much nothing but a waste of money Money I could ve used for gas or groceries So much for my dreams
