Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service I needed a small piece of work doing around Company Law I decided to use Paul Robinson solicitors because they were local Newham and had good reviews however if I had read carefully I would have seen that the good reviews related to conveyancing After an initial telephone chat with a very nice and helpful lady I passed on all of the information for review so that they could quote me a price for the piece of work that I needed to be done All I wanted was a legal opinion and I highlighted the areas that needed to be looked at I was told it would be passed on and someone would contact me shortly It was passed on but nobody did I chased after a week and got a call with a promise of a response a week later nothing chased again another promise chased again I could go on repeating myself Six and a half weeks later I have had to call them and tell them I cannot do business with them it has been over six weeks and all I wanted was a quote for the work In all honesty as they reviewed the documents to estimate a cost they would have come to a conclusion anyway it was not hard complex or complicated I just needed my opinion to be confirmed by a professional I have now been put in an embarrassing position and have lost what should have been the upper hand in the negotiation because of this company

Unprofessional

Had used this firm for a number of years on a number of conveyancing projects When I tried to deal with them on other aspects of legal work they literally could not be bothered and even asked why I am using them rather than another firm then didn t bother to respond to any emails When I made a low level complaint about this no apology and a rude phone call from one of their partners Suggest using a more professional firm for local legal work

Terrible

Being on the receiving side of this solicitor during a family separation issue I would not recommend him He wrote a letter to me stating that my ex partner did not have to pay child maintenance towards his two children and tried to find ways to get him out of paying it This was wrong legal advice and I was advised by 3 separate solicitors and CMS that his advise regarding this was not legal or correct Upon writing back to him asking why he was giving out wrong legal advise he then blamed my ex partner and said he told him this was the law Surly a solicitor should know the law and not blame their own client Also because I wrote back to him questioning why he would advise the incorrect information He charged my ex partner each time he replied to me Even though I was complaining about him not information relating to our case I spoke to my ex partner about this lately and he said Christopher Wall advised him this was the law and to put this in the letter and that he said he does this to alot of women He also said Christopher Wall advised him not to declare his wages to me so we were able to arrange the child maintenance between ourselves Clearly this was purely for financial reasons so he could charge more money to write letters between us My worry is if this solicitor is advising men or women to not pay the child maintenance they are legally responsible to pay this will effect the childrens welfare Luckily I did not believe this solicitors lies however many other women may I have put this in writing to this solicitor and ask to make a formal complaint regarding this matter however he refused to give me any details on how to complain to him and the company he works for and said I don t have a right to complain about this The CMS have now dealt with our child maintenance issue for free and my children are now receiving the correct child maintenance payments I would not at all recommended this solicitor for any family law issues

Time wasters

Was told I d be sent quote to act for me later on When I emailed at 5pm to ask where the email was I was told were too busy to work with you If that s the case why didn t they tell me when I originally called You may be busy now but you ve lost a BTL customer for life now

Terrible service

Terrible service Rude staff we had paid for a service we were wrongly advised led on just wanted money from us We had to have a letter wrote up the letter was so poorly wrote We had to get it adjusted 4 times Spelling mistakes no punctuation and worst of all the solicitors even got our name wrong The only time this company pulled their socks up was when they were chasing for money Avoid at all costs

A miserable experience I lost all my money and I became ill

I put my case in the hands of this firm they assigned me a very young lady I did not receive advice nothing I instructed her to recover my money however I lost all of it I myself did all the job that the firm should do I wrote the brief later was the content of the letter I organized the courier to deliver the letter I paid the courier 2 times because the firm did not follow my instructions Later I found out that the young miss Natasha Kelt was training and that she had less than 3 years of experience so I was used as a laboratory rat for her training NO ONE supervised my case no one did know about me which according to the code of ethics they are obliged to do I just was ignored And if all this were not enough she interrupted my negotiation with my counterparty and then all fell apart a negotiation that I started and where 2 accountants where with me helping me in a battle to recover my money Also she wanted to invoice me double of the initial quotation but nevertheless she was on holidays on the mentioned dates in that invoice The firm reduced a little my invoice however I paid for a service that I did myself The Ombudsman s final decision arrived on 18 October 2023 and it was bad service and also the Ombudsman told the firm that they should not have charged me That is the only that the Ombudsman decided Ombudsman only valued the service but not the negligence A waste of time and energy The firm did not follow the Code of Conduct for Solicitors nor RELs and RFLs and where they have obligations in regards to me the client as well as Liability Time consumed and financial loss besides I m under stress control for this matter as it states in the NHS letter s I was prescribed cortisone and antibiotics eczemas in my skin due stress anxiety etc in addition medication to sleep due insomnia I lost all my money the amount of 60 000 and I became ill I m single mom this caused a big life-changing impacts on me in consequence all areas of my life was affected my present is the result of this miserable experience

Very disappointed with the service

Very disappointed with the service received from Paul Robinson Solicitors whom we appointed for purchasing a property in London One year after the purchase we still haven t received the land registry file for the property Recently we also discovered that there was an arrear of more than one thousand pounds owed by the previous seller at the point of purchase and now the service charge team is pursuing us for this amount We contacted Paul Robinson Solicitors about these issues but feel that they are not committed to resolving them We are extremely frustrated with this company

Good start but then

We retained Paul Robinson Solicitors on recommendation for conveyancing At the start things were smooth then our primary contact left the firm but we weren t informed of this we just started getting emails from someone else and had to work it out ourselves Service then dropped with basic incorrectly completed information being sent to us for approval that was obviously wrong and must have been sent in a rush We also had periods of no contact from them that I had to complain about We got there in the end but not without me driving hard Would we use them again probably not but they have some great reviews so maybe we just had bad luck
