You ll learn as much as you decide to learn

Most people who end up at this point of writing a review are unhappy campers who for whatever reason did not enjoy their Penn Foster experience Surprise I m the OTHER kind Back in the 70s I took an ICS course predecessor of Penn Foster in Building Construction About 6 six years ago I took a PF course in Home Remodeling Repair I just recently took a course in Landscape Technology and I m now enrolled for a Certificate in Property Management Granted I m 67 retired and don t need any certification for anything - just having fun continuing to learn However it s still safe to say that you ll get out of these courses whatever you decide to get If they turn out to be not challenging don t curse the course Praise yourself instead These courses do not put you on the path to Law School or a PhD well not directly anyway but that s not what they re designed for They are designed to make Person A more informed and better prepared than Person B in the workforce and society in general For comparison If you graduated high school you have already been exposed to this level of reading and learning The textbooks involved are all from known educational publishers You can find most of them on Amazon and see how thorough they are Penn Foster is a fine group of folks Now if some people say they came after me with collections well you really need to read all the fine print in ANY contract PF would like to be your educator but they are not a charity I have not taken any Associate or Bachelor courses but they look as good as the rest However with Associate or Bachelor degrees be sure to check ahead with any prospective employers as to their efficacy There are still plenty of old-school my age employers around who are mad they had to pay many thousands of dollars for their education and they d like to get some satisfaction at least by scoffing at your credentials Well I ve been an employer and that s my take on it

Here s a REAL LIFE positive review

Wow there are a lot of negative reviews on here Let me clarify some things I graduated from ICS Newport Pacific High School Now Penn Foster in 1997 I recently took a college course Physical Therapy Assistant at St Petersburg College in Florida I called Penn Foster they found my transcripts and sent them to the school without issue I then realized at my age I probably don t want to spend that much time getting my associates degree So I changed vocations to study for the Opticians exams NCLE and ABO State Exams Penn Foster has a prep course for the exams so I enrolled The teachers were readily available and my written exams were graded by qualified and quality teachers in a timely manner I recently wanted to change back to a career in Physical Therapy which was my original passion I am about halfway through the Optician prep course and called Penn Foster They picked up the phone in a timely manner and were very understanding and pleasant about my desire to switch courses They gave me credit for my unfinished work without hassle and now I am on my way to realize my dream of working in the physical therapy field Most of the negative reviews look like financial issues and not understanding how these programs work Penn Foster has done nothing but help me in my life s work and propelling me forward I feel like most of the negative reviews stem from user error not paying for the courses they contracted to pay for and not being disciplined enough to self study In my personal experience I totally trust Penn Foster with my future 1997 till today I trust them totally with my future studies
