Go to a Bootcamp Instead

Currently enrolled in the Cybersecurity Master s program and I am disappointed The course material is old and outdated On average 5-7 years old In cybersecurity that is a lifetime In addition one of the courses is based on a certification that was deprecated nearly four years ago The labs rarely work and are full of glitches and don t work Technical support is no help and all they do is create a ticket and will let the vendor UCertify know the issue The work required to complete in the class is a joke Rarely are assignments assigned other than reading and the labs Even the reading isn t really required The tests quizzes are a joke as you are given numerous chances to retake They are not changed so just remember wrong questions review for correct answer and retake The instructors most who have been there a long time barely do the basics and interactions with them is really unnecessary as they really don t do much My advice unless it s free through your employer opt for a bootcamp from the vendor you want to get certified You will learn more and get the most recent materials If you are using education benefits from the VA like myself go to a different school Now I know what they mean when they say University of Phoenix is a pay for your degree school

Academic enrollment counselor assured

Academic enrollment counselor assured me that I only has two courses and I graduate with my MBA only criteria two B finished the course with an A minus and a B minus the grades drop my GPA preventing me from graduating but that s not all the academic counselor failed to advise me that one of my previous courses no longer a credited course Academic advisors stated to me I needed to retake a previous course get B keep in mind I have to pay over 1200 00 for this one course out of my pocket Should would have been honorable for me to know all this before I finish my last two courses and they told me at the end of the course that all of this was an issue causing me not to graduate Do know my supposed to have been support team have no longer correspond with me left me disappointed devastated and in disbelief

I highly advise against spending your

I highly advise against spending your money on this class I paid 1300 for it but the grading was extremely harsh I regret not reading the reviews beforehand Moreover if you have a grade dispute it will be directly sent to the professor who graded your papers This seems like a joke because it s highly unlikely that the professor will admit to grading unfairly and regrade your paper If anyone knows how I can open a case against this school please reach out Thank you

Holly

Holly should not be an academic counselor She failed to follow through as she said she would and then tried to pass it off as someone else didn t follow through then she tried to say i should have called back i point out that there are 2 things wrong with that statement first when I point out to her that I called and spoke to someone else that person said that she said she Holly would call me shortly That never happened Second she Holly said she would follow through She lost credibility as an academic advisor So now I am not sure she truly handled my concern nor followed up with the other team like I asked It won t allow me to not select 1 star because she deserves no stars

The staff doesn t return calls takes forever for someone to answer when you call Often times staff members are rude They tell you important information late

Run If you Can

The reviews are correct Their masters program is a joke They only care about your money You do not have the freedom to pick your classes or even how many classes you want to take They force you to participate in extra work with baby like discussions with other students and if they can fail you to get you to retake the course they only get more money out of it I would not recommend

Being a student at the university of phoenix

Being a student at the university of phoenix was the worst decision of my life I could never turn to a school that doesn t make every single student a top priority within their institution This is a place I am considering on leaving because they do have have the people nor the team and tools to give a student the education that we need for the real world from the academic team the admission advisor the teachers themselves to the acommodation team everyone is horrible and lacks communication and I no longer want parts so just know I will not be returning back to school
