Plex tv has to many commercials not really worth the time to watch a show

Films and tv are good but during commercials it s continuously buffering rendering it hopeless because of this commercial breaks are 10 minutes long no matter how you adjust the settings nothing seems to work and the plex support articles are hopeless

Too many adverts Ads last about 3 minutes and they come on every 5-10 minutes Shocking Decent for free i guess gut gonna stop using it due to too many ads

PlexTV makes a big point of being able to record OTA It provides a TV guide and a DVR application to assist recording For me this PlexTV simply did not work I have a Hauppauge 4 tuner card in a Intel 7th Generation Core 7 computer PlexTV recognizes the card and will set it up then download a fairly good TV guide PROBLEMS Plex keeps losing connection with the tuner card -- shows go unrecorded PROBLEM Often when recording TV the recording does not complete--finalize I tried to record about 30 OTA tv shows I succeeded in capturing only 6 Connections with the OTA video card were lost recordings would not finalize and save Completely unacceptable I must note that when using the Hauppauge WinTV app I have never had a scheduled recording fail A significant issue for me with Plex almost absent customer Plex does not provide direct customer support They only provide various user forums Trying to find information in them is tedious to say the least There seems to be no way to get any attention from the Plex company I was excited about PlexTV because of the excellent reviews published by various online review sites I made a terrible error and purchased a lifetime subscription without trying the program--a big mistake I use PlayON to record internet streaming--that company--pays personal attention to their customers through via email No such luck with Plex There appears to be no way to get a direct answer from the company Plex seems to be a nice library organizer but for me the lack of a robust OTA recording capability and the complete lack of customer support makes it a non-starter

Ridiculous amount of adverts every 10 minutes into a movie Won t be watching anything again on Plex

Warning the guy that signed me up for plex turned right around and had me download what he said was a tech support sight that gave him control over my phone and said he had to send a code but I needed to log into my Google account and when I did he attempted to order an Xbox and a 100 Amazon card I told him to forget it something wasn t right so I hung up and restarted my old phone that I was using he called back and tried to keep me on the phone he still was logged into my Amazon acct I told him this was fraud and hung up againand Amazon called and asked if II was trying to place the order I said no it s fraudulent they cancelled and block my account So be careful when ordering the service

I LOVE PLEX BUT 2 REASONS FOR 2 STARS 1 NO XBOX OR WINDOWS APP VERSION SO FORCED TO MOVE TO SHIELD TV PRO 2 UNPIN THEIR CONTENT SO YOUR MENU ONLY HAS YOUR CHOICES ON A SHIELD 2019 PRO AND EVERYTIME YOU OPEN PLEX IT RESETS THE MENU WITH PLEX MOVIES AND TV STREAMING WHICH I DONT WANT OR CARE FOR 3 PLEX KEEPS FEELING MORE AND MORE FORCED LIKE MICROSFT WITH EDGE OR APPLE WITH THEIR APP SORE COSTS I AM VERY PEED WITH PLEX AND WANT TO GIVE THEM O STARS BUT CANT CAUSE INTERFACE IS GREAT SHAME ON FIRE TV 4K STICK IT CANT DO ATMOS also wana get rid of them pining their streaming content all the time on your stuff you can disasble it in the main accunt settings on the web windows 10 they just dont tell you

2 stars is the most I could possibly give a service with so many ads I m not exaggerating when I tell you there are 2 minutes of commercials after every 10 minutes of a movie This makes it impossible to enjoy my program After the first few ad breaks I timed it to be sure To the second it s 10 minutes of movie then 2 minutes of commercials for the duration I had absolutely no problems with the movie playing A movie on Crackle that doesn t even play in SD quality when streaming from the Crackle app directly plays in HD when streamed through Plex For that alone Plex gets 2 stars The ads are just too intrusive for me to ever watch a movie on there again Adding an extra hr to a 2 hr movie is too much for me

My first experience with Plex was over 3 years ago starting with the free version finding it amazing and easy to set-up and view from all my devices I then paid for the lifetime plex pass I started to find the server would disappear but didn t have too much difficulty re-installing Since then something has changed and I find it a nightmare Admittedly I m not a tech head but I don t enjoy having to sift and sort through forums to try and find a simple answer I ve made do with other streaming platforms now Even though I don t find them as impressive to look at and view my files from they are a lot easier to fix when something goes wrong and support is as easy as sending an email I find it a shame Plex doesn t provide one on one support in this way instead of forcing one to speak forum It shouldn t be that hard to be more accessible and provide a support network where you can ask a question to one person and get an answer

Plex has a nice variety of shows and movies some of which are hard to find anywhere else There s a tradeoff and it s huge Every 8 minutes sometimes more often you get as many as 14 ads at once These are apparently inserted with a timer not when there s a natural break in the video So in the middle of a scene you are interrupted I give a five for selection but zero for ads We know we have to see them but Plex needs to overhaul their usage
