This is a wonderful operation We have booked many self-guided cycling tours and this one was as good as any of them Note we have not booked their guided tours so look for reviews from those customers if that is your plan Of course it helps to be in Puglia with gorgeous scenery and history and weather but what distinguishes Puglia Cycle Tours is the service From the beginning our contact person Valentina was 100 responsive and effective a joy to work with And then she even did the legwork for me to book an after-ride massage as a surprise for my spouse The bicycles were new and very sturdy with all the features we needed The luggage service was ahead of schedule with each delivery and a tiny noise in my front wheel led to an immediate replacement at our hotel Again great service Each hotel was local unique and charming in their own way and wonderfully friendly The breakfasts were varied and always delicious It is Italy after all We recommend this company very highly and would use them again without shopping around should we be back this way

A perfect cycling holiday

I recently enjoyed a superb cycling holiday planned and arranged by Cycle Puglia Tours Their service from throughout was of the highest standard including the bike GPS guidance luggage moved on daily support when needed superb varied types of accommodation in a beautiful area of Italy

Great Experience

I did the self-guided 5-day Adriatic Cycle Tour in AprilThe bikes they loaned us were in good working order We spent most of the trip on low-traffic roads but in a few places we were on busier roads However the drivers in Puglia were careful around cyclists and accommodating Furthermore they had built or were building separated miles-long bike facilities in many places The countryside of Puglia was beautiful and it was fairly easy to find authentic delicious Pugliese food The company puts you in the heart of the old cities and villages After riding 50-odd km it s nice to be within walking distance to restaurants and tourist sites One heads-up it s hard to get the GPS signal in the old towns so I d suggest writing out the first few km of directions so you don t get turned around I recommend this company

Wonderful way to experience Italian hospitality food and wine

Our wine biking trip through Pulgia was the best trip we have taken The e-bikes were outstanding with 70 to 80 Kms range The route was great through villages and bike lanes We saw the true Italian countryside Picking cherries from trees where the branches overhung the road was amazing Italians were all very courteous to us bike riders The wine experiences were all outstanding giving us a true understanding of how wine food family and friends are all inextricably linked and savoured Our accommodation was outstanding and the meals just scrumptious Italians have no concept to underfed you Puglia Bike company where wonderful to deal with and nothing was too much trouble It seemed obvious that the company wine producers and accommodation suppliers all work wonderfully together and promote the best of Italian produce Thankyou Silvia Antonio

We did a six day cycling tour with a mix of ebike and regular bikes Christina our guide was absolutely amazing at looking after everyone and meshing the team Our support driver Stephano is a gem The trip is a good mix of hills city riding and country lanes Was awesome

Puglia custom tour of Salento

We just completed a spectacular four weeks touring the Salento area of Puglia in September with a custom self-guided tour designed by Puglia Cycle Tours We requested a special emphasis on history swimming and diverse accommodations that provided great views and great outdoor patio spaces for relaxation We also desired a slow tour with a 45km average distance per segment with a day in between for exploring the area and we used e-bikes for comfort and our senior status This was our second year of touring with Puglia Cycle Tours Every aspect of the journey exceeded our expectations and we have done multiple European cycling trips over the last five or six years The routes mapped out on GPS were innovative and imaginative winding through the countryside mostly on roads with little car traffic We experienced small town festivals celebrating the local culture and the museums of the larger cities The swimming spots were magical and the accommodations were everything we could have wished for Even though our Italian is almost non-existent the local people we met were always friendly and helpful Hats off to Puglia Cycle Tours team for designing a journey which will be really hard to surpass They did everything they said they would do and never missed a luggage transfer or any other commitment And a special thanks to a very competent and professional Chiara and her team for sharing their extensive knowledge and for their meticulous and detailed planning that made this journey special Shirley and StephenVancouver Canada

Wonderful experience all round

My husband teenage son and myself toured on e-bikes from Alberobello Our accommodation was brilliant and the equipment and routes were excellent The staff were really helpful from booking to onsite help We will be doing this again sometime soon Such a wonderful holiday

Heart of Puglia

We had such a fantastic trip We went of the Heart of Puglia trip at the end of Oct Apparently the weather can be a little rainy or cold this time of year but it was perfect everyday for us sunny and warm in the day light jacket at night Logistics were all good Alessandra helped us book and answered all our questions This was our first biking trip so we had a lot of them Payment was easy and I felt that the communication before the trip did everything it needed to We had a 16 person group some couples some singles from US New Zealand Australia and UK A range of ages and I think we got along well A few people in the group used roadbikes and were obviously very strong cyclists often at the head of the group I used an ebike and am so happy with my choice It was a nice well kept bike You can set it at 0 so you re still doing a lot of work or increase the assistance I couldn t have gotten up some of the hills without it Luckily we had a van following us I would strongly recommend making sure your group is large enough to qualify for van support I think the minimum is 6 Things you get with van support a ride up any hill you can t get up extra traffic blocking at intersections and picnic lunches The hotels were all very nice and clean Our final one in Lecce was really incredible while some others were just nice But we were only there to shower and sleep so that really doesn t matter to me Piero took our luggage from reception and brought it in each day We re so grateful for that Not having to carry suitcases around after a day of biking was so nice All the food that was recommended was good I m happy that only one dinner was included Between coffee stops Adriano made excellent recommendations of regional coffee styles and lunch we usually split a meal for dinner Ok the bike trip Puglia was beautiful Our guides Cristina and Adriano are local and it s obvious how much they love the region and want to share it The biking was a good speed and they did a great job keeping us all together I bike in the city at home so having someone physically blocking intersections so we could feel safe was great They knew the route and warned us of any obstacles A good mix of biking and stops for photos and history The olive oil tasting was a highlight I really can t say enough good things about their work as bike guides or as hosts I would absolutely recommend this trip Thanks again to Cristina Adriano and Piero
