Apple dentist in Winterbourne in Bristol is owned by Rodericks just so that we get this straight I have been a patient of this practice for approx 6 years and in that time I have had some good dental treatment a filling or two a dental bridge and a couple of loose teeth extracted but over the last year or so things changed dramatically I found that all of a sudden my appointments to get needed treatment were two months ahead and fillings fell out many times and the receptionist was quite rude on one occasion when I needed treatment after a check up they took advanced payment of 75 but made me an appointment for 7 weeks time when I later questioned this the receptionist said but your appointment is next month as it was the 2nd of the month and my appointment was at the end of the following month I mean who would just say that I also said that the timings of my appointment would push me into another changing period to which they said it wouldnt I called Emma at the head office who sorted this for me then a month of so later I got a letter telling me I had to pay again which also had to be sorted and also a month later as I was an NHS patient they could no longer treat me unless I joined their private scheme well the facts are this my financial circumstances have thankfully changed significantly and I can now well afford to go private one thing I wont be doing is using this dentist simply because the service and dentist treatment you get here is very poor I have reasons to say I think there is a certain level of corruption going on here the way I have been treated is beyond belief there other things that happened but I cant be bothered to write them down just be warned about this dentist it really does please itself what it does when it wants and the level of treatment is very poor

St George s Dental practice taken over by Roderick in the last few years now pretty awful I have regularly gone for my check ups and hygienist visits since I was a child at this practice however since Rodericks took over it s pretty awful you don t feel like a human being anymore I don t expect to wait 45 mins to 1 5 hours in the waiting room before I get seen for private treatment I was charged 130 for a filling repair which failed 2 months in I went back and was asked to pay 61 for a 5 min appointment for a dentist to look at the failed filling no treatment it was for the dentist time all 5 mins of it When I made the appointment I was not informed about this charge if I have the filling redone I will be expected to have to pay again another 130 so that will be 130 130 61 for a filling repair in one tooth it wasn t even needing a aesthetic so you can imagine how small it was if I took my car to a garage and they didn t do a repair correctly I would expect them to redo it free of charge I won t be going back to this dental surgery I have been a patient there for 30 years prior to Rodericks taking over never one complaint until Rodericks took over it s been a really poor experience I m changing my dental practice I don t recommend this dental practice unless you have endless pockets of money

Don t use this company If you want good customer care
I had an appointment at your Winterbourne Bristol office today Thursday 18th January at 11 20 am I had a check done by your Dentist who is always so good but when I was leaving in reception one of your staff was so rude terse and belittling talking down to me and wouldn t listen to my point of view she was not interested I get that even though I was only there for 10mins you charged me 60 for a check but when I tried to pay cash your receptionist said she could not take the cash as you would have to go to the bank to deposit There are no signs saying we do not take legal tender I do not like being talked down to in a surly manner I am not a child I am a 75 year old ex businessman I will not tolerate such behaviour and will not be visiting your practice again no wonder you are advertising for new patients on the pavement You did not exceed my customer expectations The receptionist concerned sits on the right hand side as you look at the desk this is not the first time she has used this surly manner which has happened several times I also get that people have bad days but it appears that every time I go into the surgery they are very terse I also do not want to listen to them talking about there personal situation while I am waiting at the desk and looking at there mobiles while I am waiting I emailed your office on Thursday guess what no reply It was what I expected you really do not careJohn Clarke

I have been a patient at this dentist for at least 10 years I have attended at least every 4 months Every time I attend there is treatment required which usually consists of tooth grinding And then filler The number of times I have had to return to the dentist because the treatment has failed is alarming After work on one tooth it looked like a tree ready for a shout of timber Unsurprisingly it broke not long after he decided to grind it down to gum level and leave it I asked if extraction was an option but he said no 4 weeks later in considerable pain I returned and this time he said extraction is the only option strange Three days later I am here in pain again wondering what has gone wrong this time You would think being a regular attendant at a dentist I would have a full mouth of teeth wouldn t you Answer is no I have had 8 teeth removed and he has the nerve to suggest he gets implants put in He said don t go to another country because their standards aren t the same I should hope not He speaks to me in a condescending manner So why am I still there There isn t any options as well they know

STAY AWAY FROM THESE DENTAL COWBOYSLeeds City Centre experience The treatment my wife had had should have lasted between 5-7 years during this time - Bonding wasn t placed under her gum properly shading also didn t match - this required 3 attempts at trying to resolve before she complained this was re-done in 2021 This bonding broke in 2022 and she had to pay to get it repaired considering it should last 7 years this isn t fair Since the repair there is now a line where newer bonding and older bonding was joined which is constantly becoming discoloured and stained after polishing it returns within a few months Now the bonding is going black in the middle of her teeth not a dental hygiene issue I can assure you of this as she regularly cleans her teeth and does her best to try and keep her teeth less stained additionally it s only affecting her teeth with bonding and no other teeth Yesterday she was booked in to see a dentist for a checkup where they d look at the staining and resolve it roughly a 3 hour round trip in travel - Arrived dentist she was booked into said he couldn t treat her as he doesn t do cosmetic surgery - Was she had to pay 60 for the checkup or 90 for the polish - again this shouldn t be the case as it s resolving an ongoing issue But according to the receptionist the dentists here are self employed and need payment and it was expected that she would pay when she returns with no understanding that petrol isn t free neither is parking or her time which she wasted due to their mistake She had to leave without either happening due to your City Dental booking her in with a dentist who couldn t do either the checkup or polishing My wife is getting passed from dentist to dentist with constant issues paid at additional cost to herself for a treatment which should have been a one off treatment that lasted 5-7 years Nobody at here seems to take ownership or provide resolutions but would rather stick a plaster on things and move her to another self employed dentist Today she returned and sat down in the dentist chair for circa 5 minutes to be told the bonding needed replacing - this is after numerous attempts to bodge repair previous work at our own cost and at full price of around 500 She was also told do you eat a lot of curries because that can stain teeth no we don t I advised her to walk out and get the work done elsewhere In short absolute cowboy dentists Will be making a formal complaint and raising issues with relevant bodies

Misleading
Booked an appointment as a new NHS patient Got a confirmation of my booking and was really relieved after struggling to find a dentist for over 2 years A couple of days later I get a cancellation email saying that their website was incorrect and that they are not taking on new patients Not very professional at all However looking at some of the reviews it sounds like it was a blessing in disguise that they cancelled my appointment

Dreadful service
Dreadful service - Firstly they increased their rates for hygienist appointments from 60 to 75 - then they insisted upon advance payments - then when I cancelled my appointment 2 months in advance they said it would take 3 WEEKS to get a refund Despite my repeated requests for a refund of my 75 they have failed to pay Avoid this load of crooks
