Avoid this company - absolutely appalling service received

Absolutely appalling service received from this company Took out an insurance policy which I explained at the time was only needed short-term to cover the sale of a property I was assured that this would not be a problem as I could call and cancel the policy subject to 25 broker fee and would receive a refund for the period not covered within 30 days Cancelled the policy on 9th November and now had to chase the refund several times Was finally promised a refund on 29th December and having chased again today by email advising I would have to complain to the FCA I have just received a call from an extremely aggressive and rude employee calling himself the Managing Director saying that I was insensitive because only Managing Directors can make refunds and they have both been ill and not had opportunity to process it The worst customer service I have ever experienced - AVOID this company They may offer you a cheap product but the service is severely lacking and they cannot be trusted

I have used Sharrocks for a number of years Their insurance quotes are competitive and shown in a clear and transparent way The staff are friendly and helpful its a pleasure to do busy with them

Very poor broker Avoid

Very poor effort put in to help out just after taking a policy out Wouldn t even try and just refused to honour the policy Staff friendly and polite but Alan very rude Don t take equipment hire insurance out with this broker

Bad service and terrible advise

I telephoned sharrocks whom we are insured through about 10 days ago to inquire if my business was insured for business interruption due to coronavirus The person I spoke to pretty much laughed at my inquiry Then I was told flatly that I did not have cover for this So I went to the website of the company who actually insure us and downloaded my policy And it clearly states that we are indeed insured for this I thought brokers where meant to help there clients I feel I just got fobbed of with bad bad advise Not at all happy Pleased to take my money up until I needed help

I have had insurance for over 15 years

I have had insurance for over 15 years they told me I would be sent a renewal notice but never received it Then the insurance ran out and I had to do emergency cover at a higher cost because they called me to say it expires that day The Customer Service lady said they don t care if I don t renew with them next year This is appalling and not what I expected after being a loyal customer for so long

i requested a copy of my policy waited

i requested a copy of my policy waited 3 weeks and when i contacted them it was going to be sent but someone forgot to post it lucy for me when i phoned back i got a really competent lady on the phone called maddie she sorted the problem within the hour thank you maddiekevin

Gone downhill

In my opinion their customer service is non existent - they are only after your money-typo mistakes no reminders
