This mortgage company tries everything they can to keep raising payments so a person can t pay and lose their home They ll tell you lies after lies and they always say its the customers fault even if you have proof that it was shellpoint fault We want to sell our home just to get away from shellpoint There are so many lawsuits against this mortgage company its scary and they have lost pretty much all of them or they settle before it actually goes to court

Completely agree with everyone My mortgage sold to them had no way to contact anyone as there was a 1200 credit owed to me a closing which I may now never see Now they are charging me Lender Placed Hazard insurance fee of 98 20 mo 1 178 40 year when I already registered mailed them my HOA property insurance doc from my HOA Enquiries on their website go into black hole no response to my email Calling and no one picks up - says 5 mins wait and I have bene on 20 minutes It s a scam Better Business Bureau should investigate

Worse company I did a covid relief they didn t finish their part I sent checks which they sent back I tried paying online they locked it forced foreclosure I have a buyer but they will not waive fees so I can sell it

Worst mortgage company in existence Nobody knows anything Nobody will help you but if they do they have no idea what s going on They will add home owners insurance to your loan even if you already have insurance with an insurance company When you ask them to remove their insurance from your account they always say it will take 2-4 weeks after someone in another department looks at it They still want you to keep paying it until it is resolved and won t reimburse you for it Hopefully they will go out of business

Took me months to reach someone with a pulse and this woman was unkind UGLY and had absolutely no other interest besides talking about my past due balance Now my home is in foreclosure and I finally got someone on phone yesterday imagine that Had a long talk with a young gentleman who was so kind accommodating and wanted to help me stay in my home I didn t ask for this COVID ruined my life and my sons life as well

HORRIBLE in literally every sense Impossible to get anything done with them on your own We had to hire a lawyer to get the money back for payments they had said we never paid To avoid foreclose we had to still pay the late payments until our lawyer stepped in for it only to start again about a 6-12 months later That s only the tip of the iceberg My mom is elderly and incapacitated so I take care of her mortgage but for those that don t have someone to help them they could literally find themselves homeless It s a very suspicious practice

these crooks bought my mortgage from another white collar thieves bank Bank of America shocker between the two managed to increase my debt 2 fold right after CountryWide went belly up and it was taken by BofA first and then around 2017 by Shellpoint They keep increasing my monthly payments arguing that my escrow has increased and other legal BS If my mortgage pays for Principal interests taxes and insurance why do they keep increasing it I owe more than 200 000 when after 22 yrs I should easily owe less than 100k And If I want to buyout they re punishing me with 15 000 more on some BS charge

After you post your review here go to consumer financial protection bureau gov site and share your complaint Shellpoint is the top complained about company for 5 year running They lie and lie over and over Spell out EVERYTHING they have done wrong Their latest antics are trying to cliam we owe nearly 4k AFTER they received nearly 50k in HAF funds They still have not send out any sort of reinstatement letter or anything noting the payment They are so disgusting I notice on linkedin that they hire blonde white women in arizona as loss mitigation specialists in order to create some weird branding

Frozen water line flooded 1100 sf of my home Christmas 2022 Ins claim paid 24 000 00 Shellpoint released 7000 00 Enough to buy flooring but not enough to buy trim underlayment or pay for installation Shellpoint telling me do the work we ll release more funds Meaning I have to be out of pocket 10 000 00 to get the work done or I have to have floors done piecemeal a bedroom a bath a kitchen a living room and have Shellpoint schedule an inspector get his report ensure they upload it and wait for another check instead of doing the work all at once In the meantime we are walking around or raw plywood It s Christmas 2023 and still the claim hasn t been disbursed work hasn t been done One small 24 000 00 claim is insignificant but Shellpoint doing this to 100 s if not 1000 s of claims means they are making interest off millions of dollars in claims giving them motivation to hold up providing payment to distressed customers claimants Their own website documentation states any claim under 40 000 00 will be disbursed in lump sum immediately Misleading if not fraudulent
