500 euros rip-off - unethical

Attention If the invoice looks like a rip-off do not pay it on the spot It says Bij betaling bent u akkoord gegaan met de bovengenoemde prijzen en werkzaamheden I guess what they do is still legal but certainly not ethical My backpack was stolen on a Sunday evening and along with it my apartment keys Needed to get in my place so called SlotenmakerSnel Over the phone they said the service starts from 90-120 euros without BTW and it can go up depending on the situation Well it went higher way higher The agent arrived in 45 minutes The guy said I have a good lock there is no other way but to drill He said it d be 250 euros in total I accepted it Then it turned out that a new lock is not in the price He offered to give some high quality lock for 110 euros Since I couldn t leave the door without a lock I had to go with it as well The model he installed DOM Plura with 3 keys looks like it costs 20 euros in total Then the invoice came First of all he didn t mention that these prices would be without BTW even then these didn t conform to what he previously said and the cost for that lock is just ridiculous I feel I ve been ripped off and taken advantage of because I was in a situation that I had no other way out I understand that emergency service on a Sunday night is not cheap however I certainly wouldn t expect it to be 496 euros I have not had other choice but to pay given the circumstances I reached out to their customer service their answer was that there is nothing wrong with the invoice and that I ve accepted the terms by paying it

What a SCAM And a pity that so many have fallen for it Firstly they sent an intern who didn t know lock picking for a lockpicking job He took one look at the lock and said it has to be drilled I said no That I have a key to the back door in Amsterdam I lied He then got worried thought for a moment and then said I can use a special plastic card and try I said ok It was a normal plastic sheet He then said it would cost 180 euros I said no and that I would pay his arriving charges of 35 He said that I also have to pay cancellation charges which was clearly mentioned as 0 on the phone call He finally said he would do it for 120 all inclusive He couldn t slide it properly and had to call the real locksmith and ask for directions All he did was slide a card around the door And then asked me for 150 after agreeing to 120 SCAM SCAM SCAM Instead go for Slotenmakemk it is 67 euros flat And no headaches

Do not use this company

This company is unethical and my experience was exceptionally poor They get negative reviews removed from other sites I m hoping that TrustPilot is ethical enough to not remove reviews I locked myself out of my apartment and I called their call centre It was winter and very cold They said they would arrive within 30 minutes they did not Kept calling and they kept saying they would arrive They ended up being very late The locksmith they sent couldn t get my door open and ended up damaging my door He did install a new lock but the work was incredibly shoddy the door wasn t secure He would not leave until I paid him so I figured I would pay the huge bill and get him out then deal with it later A reputable company would take one look and sort it out surely I tried to contact them to get them to make it right and they said they would but never did They kept me waiting for over a week with a door that wasn t secured properly then got upset when I asked them to deal with it promtly Absolutely unbelievable that this behaviour is legal in this country I ended up having to replace the lock and fix the door at my own expense Edited to respond to their response they had multiple opportunities to fix this situation and they chose not to I had to fix it on my own I am a woman living alone and it wasn t safe to live in a home with an unsecured door They chose not to take any action

The worst service we have ever

The worst service we have ever received Ridiculously overcharged and the lock very poorly installed It pulled away from the door Customer service full of promises but no one has come back to fix it So disappointing The worst service delivery we have had They take advantage of you and lie about prices

Complete joke of a company avoid like the plague

Called at 9 38am as a smart lock has failed Was told 30-45 mins later and they would call 20 mins before arriving Called them after 1 hour was told they would call me back - didn t Same after 1 hour 20 and then 30 Eventually they called back to say the person is sick and not working today What an absolute joke of a company Then I see the other reviews here and maybe I escaped

Today we got locked out of our appartment with our 90 year old grandmother Luckily Slotenmaker Snel was there within 25 minutes and opened our door without any damage Also the locksmith was very polite
