I too was sucked in with lies

I too was sucked in with lies I was interested in learning a cost for a system I know the internet will take full advantage of anything they can So I now have an app that generates a new phone number and email address to use for places like Solar-Estimate org Naturally I entered the newly generated phone and email and finished the form Within a few hours I had my first phone call and by day 6 I had 9 people using 9 different tel s calling and asking me questions

The calculator cannot actually provide information online on estimated system configuration and cost Instead you have to enter email address and phone number and both have to be confirmed by email and text So this is very scammy The website absolutely does not deliver what is promised instead I got unwanted phone calls and the person I talked with was still not able or willing to provide any estimates or information on the phone

Complete Failure

I was contacted via text and an appointment was set up for a phone call I went through this three times without being called during the time window given This is really poor business management I have texted the sales person who was texting me and told them not to contact me again I have waited an inordinate amount of time waiting for a phone call that never arrived If you want to email me information please feel free Your reputation is already tainted but I will look at it

This website is a total scam It advertises itself as a site to tell you roughly how much solar panels would cost But then it gives your information to contractors who all start calling you I just wanted general information The site is completely misleading and should be taken down

Useless site if you don t use a cell phone

Sometimes you have to wonder just how inept some people designing websites actually are The Solar Calc asks for your email and phone number If you give it a landline it sends a text to that number anyway and you can not proceed without the super secret code it TEXTED The inept have your email but they choose to text no option to get it via email Here s a hint for them anyone who enters and email address has one use it Many people entering a phone number are entering a landline good luck texting it

this is a data agregator They sell your information for a fee to solar contractors I couldn t even get the advertised solar estimate without giving over my personal address email phone number name What s next my 1st son Kidney If your just going to collect data to sell just be straight forward don t pretend to offer a solar estimator that is gated behind your data collection My phone number and name are not needed to estimate solar needs Just collect the essential data and ask if I want you to sell my data I might not mind if you provide me with actual value first Lame

Spam generator

Wanted a ballpark for how large a system I could install irradiance etc which it looked like their site could provide automatically Cancelled when it got to how many estimates do you want and made it clear I d get calls text email Apparently cancelling means sell my info to everyone I have received 2 texts 5 calls and 2 emails within a few busines hours mostly from aggressive solar marketing staff No I do not want just a 45 minute appointment before even learning what products they resell install And that s the ones that didn t go to a spam filter

I filled out their little online form just because I was curious about solar at my house and wanted a rough idea I had no idea you would be sharing my info to the entire solar industry and I WOULD BE GETTING SPAMMED OUT THE ASS from now on There were 0 indications that they would doing this
