Do not buy Solgaard

The bag showed up two weeks late almost all functions - locks usb port clips hinges and zippers either didnt function at all or were broken The bag claims to hold more however when you pack it as they instruct - IT DOESNT CLOSE Locks popped off if you push too hard This company makes garbage We literally threw out the 375 dollar case into the garbage because Solgaard wouldn t take a return

They don t honor their warranty

Received a defective suitcase Inquired through the support sent order number and photos of the defect They did not understand the issue and sent me the wrong item I have been trying to reach them to resolve the issue for months and I m getting no reply whatsoever from their support team They do not honor their warranty

Horrible response time

Response from anyone in that office needs to be improved Still waiting for a response for a refund that was submitted over 4 days ago Ordering was easy receiving my item was a nightmare that took almost a month to get ended up purchasing another suitcase since it did not come in time Now STILL waiting for a refund when they clearly received their item back

Horrible Customer Service Questionable Business Practices

I was excited to order the carry-on as it appeared to be just what I needed Within a day of my order they had created a shipping label and they charged by credit card One week later they had not delivered the package to FedEx so I inquired I was told it was in process and would be 1-2 days before it shipped I waited another week and inquired again I was told it would be 1-2 days before it shipped Same story as before no explanation as to why the charged my card before they shipped the product I gave them a deadline to ship or cancel the order When they missed that deadline I told them to cancel the order but they said they couldn t because it had either shipped it had not been received by FedEx or because of their internal processes I am going through my bank to have the charges reversed Very questionable business practices Update - it s been several days since I provided the information they requested Radio silence Maybe they aren t really that sorry Contrast that with another company who mistakenly was sending me something I didn t order I notified them and within 30 minutes the order was cancelled and my credit card refunded Now that s a company with whom I ll keep doing business Update They finally refunded my money after I asked for contact information for the CEO It s unfortunate it took so long and I had to be so persistent but they ultimately did the right thing

If I could give zero stars I would I ordered a carry-on closet for an upcoming trip and the website and email confirmation stated it would be shipped within 48 hours It s been 10 days and there is still no notification of shipping I contacted customer support and they initially told me they d arrange for another to be sent out but still no sign of a shipping notification 4 days later I ve tried following up both with customer service and also the founder directly he said he d make sure I had an update the following day but it s been radio silence since I ve now requested a full refund and to cancel my order but I m not holding my breath I get the distinct feeling I ve been scammed out of 350 Avoid at all costs

Poor product and return policy

I ordered a backpack two suitcases and 2 juice packs on the cyber sale One of the suitcases the usb plug doesn t work One of the juice packs the wireless charging doesn t work and the backpack and the other suitcase both were supposed to be a color called Granada green yet are not the same color I m extremely disappointed in these very expensive products total cost was in excess of 1 000 To add insult to injury if I want to return defective products I have to pay return shipping I regret burying these products and I m disappointed in this company

ZERO stars for customer support

If I could give this company a zero for customer support I could honestly do so I have been dealing with this issue since November 23 when I placed an order for a Weekender bag that I ordered for my daughter for Christmas The day I ordered the bag they confirmed with a confirmation number and an email saying that the item was being prepared to ship The company lists in their FACTS that if an item is backordered that you would be notified when your order was placed I kept looking for an actual email that confirmed the item was shipped BIG RED FLAG they do not offer a customer service number on their web site On December 12th I was able to eventually find a phone number and was told that the item was backordered but had just been restocked and it would be shipped within 24 hours I emphasized that this was a Christmas present that I needed by Christmas Was again promised it would be shipped immediately I again waited to receive shipping information I tried to reach someone at the company on Monday December 18th Tried again on December 19th and was able to CHAT with someone at the company that confirmed the item STILL HAD NOT SHIPPED They promised the item would be shipped in 24 hours I again told them how dissatisfied I was and that at no time since November 23rd had they reached out to me to tell me that the item was back ordered I told them the least they could do was over night the shipment so we could get it by Christmas They were unwilling to do so even at my expense I was again told that the item would be shipped in 24 hours but that it would take 7-10 business days So there is now NO WAY that I can receive the item for Christmas I got an email last night stating the item had been shipped but when you click on the link for tracking information it states the item has a label printed but has still NOT SHIPPED Still no apology or offer of any help Will never order from this company again I advise you to find another luggage company that is more reliable and responsive to customer service

Damaged with no resolution

I travel frequently On a return trip from out of the country I discovered that my luggage was missing one of the pinchers and could not open the suitcase I contacted Solgaard and had quite a time getting resolution These suitcases are expensive and supposedly have a lifetime warranty Obviously not the truth After days of going back and forth I received a spare part pincher That s it that s all no instructions no emailed video nothing I have no idea how to even begin changing out this damaged part So money down the drain I had recently bought a Solgaard backpack which is also expensive I am happy with my backpack so far but I swear I will NOT buy another product from Solgaard due to my recent experience and having NO resolution Now I have to find another luggage company and buy new luggage This really sucks but it is a lesson learned I will share my story about this experience on every social media platform there is
