Buyer Beware UPS have just arrived with my order for which I was charged Delivery and demanded a further 48 I refused to pay and sent parcel back This is Blatant Fraud and I intend to open up a Fraud Claim with my Bank immediately I have tried to contact the company but surprisingly to no avail

Trying to unsubscribe from all newsletters sms email communications but when I click on confirm nothing happens Tried to call customer services but that says to call back during the hours stated on the website monday - friday -8 00am - 4 00pm - it s now 10 00am

I can t get my order which I ve paid 200 for until I pay 60 cash to UPS for delivery Absolutely disgusting this is fraud No mention of a huge delivery fee No way would I have ordered from this website

Well I read all the reviews about all the problems with import duty etc so I decided to ring them I asked several times about paying duty and each time I was told they d be no duty to pay So like a fool I ordered my boots The email came with the out for delivery Then it changed to payment required 44 To pay So I rang again The usual apologies I asked to speak to the manager but apparently they don t speak to anyone WHAT A JOKE They have agreed to recall the parcel and refund my money What a waste of time for everyone Also don t get anything from SPARTOO either the same shambolic company under another name No stars should be an option

As per previous reviews I have also been hit with a 41 import charge from UPS making these the most expensive Dr Martens I have ever seen anywhere My anger is that I actually queried the 4 95 delivery charge with Customer Service and They didn t mention to me that I should expect to pay a further 40 if I had known I would have purchased elsewhere for a much cheaper price Only after the event did I see the small print but even then it did not specify the expected high charge which added over 25 to my order Would definiteley not recommend

Really poor logistics management with this company BEWARE The T s and C s state that sometimes items are shipped from their French warehouse and import charges may apply that need to be paid before delivery however when I purchased my item it did not tell me it was going to come from France directly If this is made clear at the final point of purchase to customers that it s coming from the UK or France not just in the terms then they can make an informed decision to proceed or not Spartoo appear to be competitive against other UK sellers of the same products when it comes to pricing but this flaw in their shipping process is counter-productive and damaging in my opinion As an experienced logistics manager myself who drop ships around the world daily if a UK customer is buying from a UK site as is Spartoo co uk then the UK customer should not have to foot these import charges Spartoo should have the goods from France shipped DDP delivery duty paid to the UK buyer and absorb the customs costs themselves This should be built into their business model and offset within the pricing structure for the company so nobody is at a loss but more importantly so customers have a positive experience when shopping with Spartoo co uk Clearly this is not happening looking at the number of negative reviews I believe Spartoo need to revisit this as a business or else it will continue to upset customers kill new business and market reputation I ve emailed Spartoo a few times to try and come to an amicable resolution but I m getting nothing in response Will not use Spartoo again nor recommend

Beware the additional cash on delivery charge applied to your order but not shown on your invoice In my case this was 51 45 making my wife s Dr Martens the most expensive I ve ever seen The charge is noted in the sellers terms and conditions but way down near the end and are not quantified BE VERY WARY OF THIS SELLER

Spartoo promises a lot with all its promotions and discounts but falls short after they take your money Firstly you have to go digging to discover that after accepting the initial cost you must pay an import cost as Spartoo is not based in UK and seems to ship widely from France I was told I would receive the item within 5 working days but it will instead 2 weeks If I had known this there would have been no point buying it from this site and I would recommend others wait for restocks elsewhere Getting 10 off to be charged 40 later makes no sense especially when you already pay for delivery In addition it seems no promotion works without an account and in addition the account made with your google account wouldn t work so I had to now give my details elsewhere again Needless to say this has turned from a miracle site to a nightmare of things being cagey

Extremely worrisome that my identification card and utility bill were requested I ve never had a commerce site request this information Please don t hand over your sensitive information that can be used to appropriate your identity You have no way of knowing how well the company is protecting it once they receive it

I was shocked when UPS presented a 44 invoice import duty tax shipping charge I didn t know I was ordering from outside the UK when their address in the website is in the UK I thought I bought a bargain but instead I paid more than the actual price of the shoes here in the UK Never again
