After ordering and paying for a specific Bowie knife I was told after a few days that the knife I wanted was not in stock but after getting in touch via the onsite chat service I was able to order another knife This was dispatched and delivered quickly Ian very happy with my Bowie knife

The only reason I haven t given 5 stars is I had some problems in getting a discount code to validate Other than that very good and quick service

Very nice indeed Items were received quikly and looked as expected A few weeks before I -by mail- asked the exact dimensions of one of the knifes unfortunately i never received answer For me It was not possible to derive dimensions from e g other sites for it is an vintage type Further I received the knifes nicely packed and with a little Thank You note from Sporting Cutlery

This Sporting Cutlery customer is not a long-term customer but a new to Sporting Cutlery customer and so this Trustpilot rating is based upon a fairly small sampling - so far - of being a customer of Sporting Cutlery Initial current experience has led to a four star as opposed to five star rating only because of a communication hiatus which lasted a long time over a back-order which never materialised One should however add that this back-order never materialising issue had nothing whatsoever to do with Sporting Cutlery but everything to do with their supplier i e manufacturer s distribution distributor which means that in this particular case both the retailer and their customer were equally the victims of a pitifully bad supply chain problem It was however the case that some more information over time a long time as it happened as to what was actually happening to one s back-order would have been quite helpful in resolving the problem more speedily than it was eventually resolved When their supply chain is not messing about on steroids I should however say that based upon this customer s so far limited experience Sporting Cutlery appear to have as good a record in fulfilling orders and dealing with customers in a courteous efficient and speedy manner as any online retailer this reviewer has ever dealt with This means they are infinitely superior to many online retailers many of whom are poor on most if not on all levels So all in all a god review one trusts Potential customers should have no worries in dealing with Sporting Cutlery - as long as they contact said retailer before placing an order to double-check that what they have seen on the Sporting Cutlery website is in fact actually currently available to buy

It s just my luck to receive this set which has manufacturing faults I eh not enough strong adhesive in the handle of the 600 grit plate causing the plate to detach from its handle I tried for size my two heavy cleavers in the jaws of the clamp for possible sharpening the rods inside aren t longoing enough to enable a safe sweep along their working edge thus not suited to cleaver honing At this time I am still waiting for a replacement 600 grit stone to arrive which I find strange as I reported the problem within 25 minutes of receiving the set All things considered I would personal preferance have preferred this set to have been made out of stainless steel as I can t see the plastic handle guide slots being damaged quiet easily so probably a deluxe set might be possible
