18 hours after I ran my last class I was fired from Synthesis They immediately cut off my access to all platforms and I received no explanation nor feedback I didn t get to say goodbye to the students I ve worked with over the past few months -- who I had developed strong relationships with and consistently rated my classes highly I was told by parents that I was a fantastic teacher and that their students looked forward to my classes all week When I asked for clarification on why I was dismissed all I got was a thank you for your feedback courtesy reply from Kristine a senior member of the team I don t know why I ve been dismissed and I have been given no opportunity to improve I had no sense of how precarious my position at Synthesis was at the time I was terminated Colleagues were also shocked to hear what had happened Because of this combination of unclear expectations and no communication I cannot recommend working at Synthesis

We always had connectivity issues and problems We got only help once Roman stop attending 4 or 5 clases ago It was not Aggie experience for us

We were very excited when we joined Unfortunately the excitement dwindled away with each cohort meeting If children yelling speaking over all others swearing someone yelling out Racist to someone your child feeling lost and asking for help only to be helped occasionally IF the instructor can hear them your child feeling they learned absolutely nothing then you might like it This seems to be great for children who are extremely agressive verbally push all others voices to the side if they enjoy yelling and being disrespectful to all others you will find this a perfect fit Your child will excel and have their behavior encouraged

They throw kids around like chips on a table Constantly changing teachers results in little stability for kids Children become scattered and some of the teachers also seem overwhelmed It appears they give certain students preferential treatment over others on scheduling and cohorts based on their connections with the company I genuinely question the VCs that funded this They should have their kids do this regularly without revealing it s their kids and see what happens

It is a gimmick Dont fall for it We just signed up this week filled with excitement Like many people we are hungry for alternative exciting math options to compliment the sucky math education in the US The lessons on Synthesis are minimal - like two very rudimentary lessons on fractions two on addition two on algebra and a bunch of history theory There is very little for the person hoping for a progressive deep dive ALSO the AI is not AI at all It is a program that says the exact same thing to each kid For instance my son is Mike and the AI says so cool my pet giraffe is named Mike My daughter is Amy and it says So cool my pet giraffe is named Amy It is dishonest just like the entire marketing scam system MAYBE the school itself is cool but the 45 per month per kid app is garbage I THOUGHT that because of the origins of this system it would be good I doubt my little review will make a dent in the six or seven figure marketing campaign for this gimmick Very disappointed BEWARE Also note that a lot of the good reviews are by people with only one or two reviews ever very suspicious
