Talbots customer service in decline
I have been a Talbots customer for many years probably 50 of my work clothes Recently I have been alarmed at the decline In the store Phipps Plaza GA in early August 18 the sales staff was inattentive and every stall in the dressing room area was piled with clothes with customer names on the doors written in dry erase marker even though there was almost no one in the store I had to seek help and she all but shrugged erased the name on one with her hand which may explain the black smudges on the walls and took the pile of clothes in one stall Online I tried to order something got an error message and it took days for my email to be responded to at all and then that was to ask for information I already provided yet I never got an answer or still haven t No part of the online ordering worked well This is such an obvious decline in customer service I started looking to see if it was just me or if there were reports of Talbots closing perhaps owned by someone else or with a new business model I didn t find that It found this site

I am a 95 Talbots customer I am happy with most of their merchandise But I am only ordering things on line that I know for me I take no chances Plus their policy is that their extending their return policy until the local stores open I would not order anything that I am not certain will fit or like

I have shopped at Talbots and Talbots com for years I find the clothing to be good quality and the service is excellent There is a Talbots store in my neighborhood and I check the new stock regularly The salespeople are always very friendly and helpful They willingly take returns of both new clothing and clothing that did not wash well etc It is a very reliable company

They must have buyers who clearly don t know the Talbot customers The Fabrics style are not even close to the Talbots I avidly shopped If Talbots wants to remain specialized they need yo hire buyers who know who their customers are The catalog styles I have viewed look like the cheapest of China where All is made Perhaps spend the money on higher end work rooms to get the attention Talbots was use to For me my friends age 45 to 65 the styles especially the fabrics are ugly
