DO NOT USE TALBOTS LAW Terrible experience No communication and never have been able to speak on the phone to our solicitor directly Having paid the initial fees for the searches in August we have now been told that these have only just been applied for in October We have been constantly put to the bottom of the pile and never prioritised Not providing the service that we ve paid for Constantly ignored and worried about losing the purchase Do not recommend talbots law in any way

Talbots are the reason for wondering why Trustpilot don t have a zero star option It has taken three months to NOT complete on a purchase transaction despite all other elements being in place Case owners have now queried information and supporting documents provided two months ago

Do not use These are my buyers solicitors there has been delay and delay with my property sale by incompetency of staff Staff off long term sick and no one picking up the work not raising important enquiries until last minute costing weeks more delay My house was meant to complete in October after they said they had everything end of September so I moved out and started paying for another property now being told it won t be until December It s been sat empty and I ve lost 1 500 plus for standing charges from all these delays You ll end up losing money by going with these incompetent solicitors AVOID

We are currently selling our home and our buyers are using Wolverhampton Talbots they are absolutely awful Potential move dates have come and gone due to them taking forever to review responses to our estate agents and our solicitors We are not directly using Talbots but they are holding up ours and our buyers house move and causing major disruption Steer well clear at all costs

We re now nearly 8 months into this process and we re still waiting to exchange and complete They ve set countless deadlines and missed every single one For the past four weeks we ve been told it s happening next week Most recently they said it would be done by the end of this week but now it s been pushed to Monday We gave notice on our flat based on their assurances and now we have nowhere to stay because of their incompetence These solicitors refuse to communicate directly through the proper channels Instead we only get updates through the estate agent which feels completely unprofessional This whole process has been far more stressful than it needed to be because of how poorly they ve handled everything

It s a firm you must avoidThey would do un necessary searches to incur you more moneyMy daughter used them to purchase a flat took them five moths to complete did searches for BSA unnecessarily cost her 1200 pounds moreNeglected to demand the management pack from the seller only to find out that the flat has an out standing service charge of 4000 poundsStarted a complaint procedure they never give a feedback spoke to one of thier complaint team members to ask for a feed back even its been almost a month since i informen them about thier neglect that needs correcting and asked why no feed back is sent She tried to call me abusive I asked how she said talking over me legal firm compliant department don t know the meaning of the word abusive forgetting she is being recorded by her firm Any way waiting for the 8 weeks to finish hoping to take them to the legal ombudsman should avoid them and save your self the stress and hassle

We were recommended Talbots Law by another professional company we were working with Talbots claim to be personable and timely qualities we did not experience Our conveyancer seldom answered calls and their email response was dismal sometimes leaving 10 missed calls per day Their extensive annual leave was not communicated and our portfolio was neglected during that period Talbots Law made our exchange and completion dates seem impossible and the whole process painful affecting the property s seller their solicitors and even prompting our estate agent to vow never to work with Talbots Law clients again As paying clients we were unprioritized and felt demoralized always pushing an uphill battle 6 months later the conveyancer finally reviewed information we needed waiting 3 5 months in between each review of enquiries We will never use this company again nor will anyone we know

Never use these people From start to finish we had a terrible experience I spoke to the manager and nothing was done Never able to get hold of anyone Things done wrong terrible costumer service For the money you pay it s not worth it Please don t waste your money

We were recommended Talbots by Yopa for our Sale and Purchase At the beginning the communication was good and documentation was received and was professional This quickly disappeared We went 4 weeks without any contact Even though we were ringing and sending emails asking for an update Eventually Ellen contacted us to apologise about the service that had been provided and assured us that this would not happen again However disappointingly it did happen again 4 weeks went by with no contact from Ellen It was only when we sent an email complaint to numerous directors at Talbots Law that we actually managed to speak to someone to resolve the issues and answer the questions about our sale and purchase that we had been trying to get answered for over 4 weeks We did receive a gesture of goodwill paymentHowever the whole experience was very stressful with no updates unless we contacted TalbotsWe definitely would not recommend them

Terrible communication Don t respond to emails Rush you off the phone Just don t seem to give any sort of a hoot Get someone else to sort you out
