Avoid using Brierley Hill at all costs over two weeks now chasing main case handler and paralegal for updates on enquiries They have ignored ducked and dodged any answers and still not responded to my buyers solicitors All they need to do is send an email saying it s in hand Jeopardising the sale of my house which if it falls through will be escalated further

My buyer was using talbotslaw After 5 months I have just pulled the deal The trainee solicitor kept requesting my solicitor to resend documents already supplied kept making enquiries a second time and even a third time I felt that their solicitor was never in control of a situation and as such my buyer has gone to great expense and not achieved a succesful outcome after as I said 5 months Straight sale not even a chain involved At my last attempt to progress this sale the buyers solicitor claimed there were still 9 enquiries outstanding in fact they were replied to again 10 days earlier I saw the mail Good luck to you

Was referred to these folk via my broker Got sent some forms absolutely shocking format - filled them in paid the initial fees and haven t heard anything since Multiple emails and phone calls made but haven t heard a thing Not sure whether they re dealing with the purchase or not

Avoid Talbots law at all costs They do not even deserve 1 star Months and months of e mails and phone calls and a simple conveyance without a chain cannot get completed Interestingly Trustpilot thinks it is against their policies only when mentioning people s names in negative comments So much for trusting Trustpilot to convey an honest message for others to be aware and not fall in the same trap Updated on the 6th December still no completion date Contract signed on the 12th November

Incompetent - never return phone calls Should be a simple process buying a property but not with Talbots Coventry Nobody ever returns calls and when you do get to speak to somebody you get incorrect information Even more farcical when they keep stating they are waiting for information from the seller s solicitor s but it is their other branch that are handling this God only knows when my mother will be able to move house but not thinking its any time soon with this bunch of muppets Update It s amazing what a review on trust pilot can achieve Complete turn around and now very happy with the service Thank you

Called in to ask to get 2 sets of documents signed and witnessed by a solicitor Quoted 180 and would have to submit the documents to initial business for review ID1 and CH1 and verify identity Would have to make an appointment for them to review and advise me Thanks but no thanks Went 100m down the road where MFG solicitors who we did wills with reviewed witnessed and signed documents taking photocopies all for 5 Absolute bargain and not ripping the public off unlike Talbots Law

Dealt with Brierley Hill office Seemed to start off well but eventually it became a challenge to receive responses to queries and hidden fees seem to be the norm Ended with a dispute over fees that had been agreed in writing a month earlier on the day of completion Would not recommend

Please don t use this firm they don t deserve one star no reply on the terrible service we received from them in February They were supposed to be looking into all the unhelpful and rude staff and problems that they caused From sending documents from other customers private business to our selves and sending our documents to the wrong address along with so many issues that there is too many to mention on here save your sanity and money

I am currently purchasing my property with Talbots law and experiencing an extremely concerning lack of communication Responses to enquiries received ten days ago and after being promised they would be looked at last week another week has passed and no action I have sent 4 emails over the last week and received no response or even acknowledgment Also for the first 4 weeks no action was made by them as they had my file down as selling a property not purchasing This is a very urgent case of needing this to go through asap but this does not seem to bother them

Dealing with these solicitors has been nothing short of a nightmare We re now almost 8 months into this process and still haven t exchanged or completed They ve set and missed multiple deadlines since August and for the last four weeks we ve been told next week over and over We ve given notice on our flat trusting their timelines and now we have nowhere else to stay because they ve failed to deliver Apparently the issue has been sitting with the compliance team for the better part of the last month with no real response I am hoping that this review can enable the relevant team to actually move things along Compared to our own solicitors who have been brilliant this lack of care and competence is shocking I would not recommend them to anyone Update Finally one update since this complaint but only addressed one query and not the other they did not provide any conclusive timeline we are now having to put all of our things into storage this has really soured our FTB experience I feel so genuinely upset
