Using Talbots was the biggest mistake we made when moving house We were placed with the Brierley Hill branch under an individual who for 6 months did absolutely nothing towards our house sale and purchase Was incredibly rude on the phone and didnt seem to care at all on the numerous occasions when I told her that we had been threatened by bellway with losing our property if she didnt get the exchange sorted soon It was only when I phoned to put a formal complaint in against her that a week later she was suddenly off the case which we weren t told directly and only found out when we tried to chase her and were told we d been passed to someone else in the team that knew nothing about our case only 3 weeks before we were due to complete Myself and my partner probably did more work towards chasing searches than this individual did in those 6 months and every time we spoke to her she lied to us and told us that she was awaiting information from the buyers solicitor Which we knew was untrue as we were in good contact with our buyers and saw contact that they received from their solicitor multiple times saying this individual had done nothing The only salvation for Talbots is that the new person they gave us was actually competent and was willing to put up with our 5 phone calls a day to chase things He managed to do in 3 weeks everything that the original person hadn t bothered to do in 6 months However the stress that the original person put us through for 6 months was completley unprofessional and the fact that this wasn t being monitored by her superiors was unacceptable in my eyes

When we eventually got through to people things would get done but it was a full time job chasing this company because of their incredibly slow responses and having to submit the same forms three or four times because each time it was picked up by yet another person all of our previous notes were lost or unaccessible We submitted all of our information through their portal two months before we needed to complete yet they were only just starting to review documents the same week we were due to complete and even this is only because we were e-mailing and calling every day to push them along I understand some level of prompting is expected but this was absolutely ridiculous I would not recommend Talbots to anyone we only used them because they were the recommended supplier from our estate agent They get 2 stars because we did eventually with far too much input from myself complete but the customer service attention to detail and way we were spoken to my staff were appalling Spend the extra money and use a decent conveyancer in my opinion and save yourself the headache and stress

Could do better with communication It is a struggle to reach anyone via email or phone I mean a huge struggle Apart from that good company

They got the job done eventually but it took a long time I wouldn t recommend Talbots to anyone else I only used them as they were the recommended conveyancers from my estate agent I would go for weeks without hearing anything and the all of a sudden I would get paperwork emailed to me always from a different person with very little explanation of what I was reading It is clear that this company prefers email communication but picking up the phone occasionally would provide a much better quality of service Everything seemed to be last minute and after months of inactivity all of a sudden things that ended up holding up the sale and purchase in my view could and should have been deal with weeks before Everything that didn t go to plan always seemed to be someone else s fault and I would often end up chasing things that I assumed I was paying them to be doing Not a great experience and I wouldn t be recommending them to anyone else

Really poor service especially in New Business Deprtment Kidderminster I asked 2 gentlemen working in this department both of them have the same name to give me estimate quotation for the purchasing service One of the gentlemens told me it will be in 15 mins - never arrived Following day I tried to reach to same person to check if maybe I incorrectly provided email but without any success So I decided to take different approach and ask about quotation another person Similar story On the 3rd day I called again and ask nice lady to direct me to New Business Deprtment but definitely not to the two gents who supposed to give me quotation Finally some other lady pick up my case and I told her if its such a big fuss to provide quotation and company doesn t need New client I will be perfectly fine with this She promised that quotation will be in next 1h Dear company please be transparent or keep your commitment For me it was false promise I used your service once and thought I have again good experience but in the times of let s say financial crisis this company is performing well and doesn t need new customers RegardsMarcin

I m only writing this review as I ve been asked to do so I had no choice but to use Talbot Law because they were the only ones at the time on the panel for my mortgage provider Well what can I say My mortgage offer almost ran out We had 2 weeks to go It should NOT 6 months to purchase a house Fortunately for me I was appointed a Trainee Conveyancing Executive named Nasiyr Bignall who did everything to get us over the line He communicated with us every step of the way and answered all my questions We completed on the 31st May He was a true professional but if I have a choice I will NEVER use Talbot Law again

I was left disappointed with the service I received The staff lacked any sense of urgency and appeared to have a total disregard for my emotional well-being in a process which is acknowledged to be one of the most stressful things in life Communication was very poor and the staff simply seemed unbothered when I raised my concerns I wouldn t use them again and I would not recommend

Talbots were suggested to us by our real estate agents and we were extremely disappointed with the service provided The communication in general was very poor with little to no updates on progress delayed response to emails Also it was almost impossible to get in touch with them over phone Would most certainly wouldn t recommend Talbots to any of our friends

The buyer of my property is using Talbot for the purchase If your house is being purchased by someone using Talbot and they get Barinder as their conveyancing executive I would suggest you unpack your things Put your clothes back in the wardrobe and your scented candles back on the sides because you won t be going anywhere for a while Terrible communication to a first time buyer I have put down 2 stars instead of 1 purely for how great Sophie has been in her response times and professionalism Really highlights how great my own solicitors are and what a difference it makes picking the right one

Quite disjointed service At the start seemed normal in proceedings however they as my Conveyancers did not deal as professionals where everything to exchange for my flat-buy seemed Last-minute The last-minute deadline provisions is just not reliable in the exchange process Not linked but there followed building damage issues in my property purchase that occurred immediate Post- exchange There was no professionalism or reassurance in their response seemed they did not how to provide information required and I had little confidence or trust Quite a lack to reply where I was communicating with 4 members of the Property Team so therefore quite messy in communications and ineffective I was instantly advised to seek a Disputes Solicitor where if they had directed to explain the Building Warranty more helpful and useful
