Outstanding Service and Professional Staff
Andrew and Jen have diagnosed my son for ASC Even though the assessment was done online they have managed to even notice the smallest details and produce a thorough report After the assessment we had two feedback meetings with Andrew one few days after the assessment to inform us of the outcome and the second meeting after we have received the report and read it to answer any queries and concerns we had and to provide us with helpful information and useful links I just can t thank them enough Truly professional

I contacted the Owl Therapy Centre for an ASD assessment
I contacted the Owl Therapy Centre after a recommendation from my daughters Secondary School From the first phone call I was treated with such kindness and understanding Nothing was too much trouble and within 24 hours I was able to access a specialist and book in an ASD assessment for my daughter the relief was immeasurable All of my dealings with the Admin team Faye the clinical psychologist and Chloe the speech and language therapist exceeded expectations I felt throughout our journey to diagnosis that everyone understood and supported at all turns and nothing was too much trouble My daughter found the experience personal and equally calming and safe We now have an extremely detailed report and a diagnosis and a huge quantity of supportive materials and professionals to use for next steps Honestly couldn t recommend them highly enough

I Highly recommend The Owl Centre
We used The Owl Centre for an ASD assessment for our son and were very happy with the service from start to finish We always felt we were in good hands of professionals who were very sensitive along the whole process We had home visits and in school assessments and the communications were all perfectly handled Any requests for post assessment information or letters for third parties were produced very quickly I wouldn t hesitate to recommend The Owl Centre to anybody who needs help and guidance during what can be an emotional time

The Owl Centre quick abusive rude and unprofessional business
Waiting for 5 years for daughters autism assessment Forms filled in OwlCentre rang to discuss and said no problem Agreed an appointment date Next day email to say appointment cancelled and daughter discharged No explanation or apology given There should be respect and care shown to patients and anxious parents The Owl Centre are a child safeguarding risk as early intervention in such cases is mandatory The slick advertising of quick communication fairness respect may be completely accurate but in our experience they have sadly failed They have not acknowldeged the complaint or safeguarding report in accordance with their own and national procedures I Hope Nicola Lathey who set up the business contacts me I m still shaking at the disgraceful we we have been treatedUpdate The director said services are not available which is obviously not untrue because I was contacted form filled in and an appointment date made Update A month later and sill no acknowledgement of the complaint within the specified time in the Complaints Procedure No contact by the Director or Nicola or anyone else Still a Failure to Act Update 2nd Sept Owl Centre have refused to send data requested by Freedom of Information SAR It has been reported to the ICO

Ridiculous
Ridiculous At present based on my current experience they have scoree very low Was transferred to owl centre from Pysicon Called to check they had received my child s referral as hadn t heard a peep from them since the referral was transfer from Pysicon It was received Basic communication such as an email or letter to waiting patients confirming referral was received would be nice and very much expected Then I ask for a rough time frame of when we d be seen for an autism assessment and they refuse to even give a basic time frame So now we are stuck on what seems like an endless waiting list for an autism assessment I chose right to chose route for my child because the NHS had long waiting times but it seems we ll now be waiting even longer Giving a very basic timeframe such as 6-12 months or 9-12 months waiting time is also very much expected and something that all other companies I ve researched offer as standard to their waitlist patients So far based on my early experience this provider really doesn t fill me with confidence in their capabilities and so far very unimpressed by their practices I will most likely be looking for another provider because the lack of basic communication informing patients their referral was received and refusal to offer any type of timeframe doesn t offer a very professional approach from a company who has now taken on an NHS contract

Not neuro-affirming
The feedback I received from the interview for an ASD assessor role was not neuro-affirming which was especially disappointing considering the nature of the role Despite passing two rounds of agency interviews the final decision came down to the ASD team at Owl After they viewed the recordings I was told I didn t seem interested in the role a comment that was disheartening particularly as someone openly on the spectrum I mentioned this in both interviews with years of experience helping others in the field Individuals with ASD often face significant challenges in communication including difficulty with nonverbal cues tone of voice and maintaining eye contact These nuances can lead to misunderstandings where genuine interest may not be easily conveyed resulting in perceptions of disinterest I would expect that experts in the field would recognise these barriers and appreciate the unique ways individuals with ASD engage in conversations It s essential for those in this field to foster an inclusive environment that acknowledges these challenges rather than making judgments based on conventional communication norms

POOR COMMUNICATION and OVER RUN COMPANY
I took my child for assessment on the 10 of September and I m still yet to be given a out come of the appointment I have chased it weekly and I get told the same thing I did from week 3 because it needs to been talked though with a few of them yet the receptionist is lovely and apparently kept putting it in a group chat for them to book it in but shouldnt take them 9wks for them to sit together and talk it though it s a joke STOP assessments and get reports out Your failing a child the support they could be receiving but yet if this was me failing my child I would be getting everything thrown at me I CANT stress enough how this appointment and services are so bad think the company really needs to STOP taking any more referrals on or at least get more staff in to cover what they have 9wks for a report is a joke doctor are over run but if I was to get appointment and have tests done I would get them back in 1 wks yet these can t do that in 9wks All I want is a answers so I can get my child the right support
