UPDATE a month later Mar 2022 I contacted Sunlife to complain and close my account They gave the usual cut and paste insincere apology stating the card is nothing to do with them and if there are issues I should contact the other scammers at love2shop This is illegal as sunlife well know and breaches every distance selling and selling regulation there is Thats OK Im outta here anyway HOWEVER you imagine if your loved one has died and you have to sort out their affairs and deal with these couldnt give a darn scammers trading under a shill company now owned by fat cat PHOENIX group read their awful reviews here too who also own lots of other brands in the field so be very careful who you insure with -----------------------------------------------------Signed up having been tempted by the free 120 giftcard Sunlife were very good and gave us the card 3mths early Then it all goes downhill Its a gift card with more strings then a banjo Love2shop website is clear as mud beyond forcing you to register which is crystal It has a whole list of shops but no mention how to use the card It turns out there is very limited option for online use of card and so the offer is worthless to us Contacting love2shop doesnt work either unless you are prepared to hand over ALL your confidential data None of which is needed to answer a simple question about their slippery website Sunlife should be more discerning about who they jump into bed with The cards going in the bin and the sunlife account is being closed Its an over 50s life insurance policy so I am guessing by design they dont think many folk will grasp the smoke and mirrors concept Can you imagine the nightmare claiming on the policy no thanks

Absolutely shocking backstreet market
UPDATE TODAY I RECEIVED SOME OF THE INFORMATION ITS TAKEN 4MTH TO RECEIVE AFTER ALL THE crap thay put in the way as delays B4 thay will send you anything first thay said my NI number was wrong I ve known it for the last 55YRS OFF YHE TOP of my head updated that which took almost 3 Week s rite can I have a policy statement please waiting and waiting then a letter comes the NI number you provided does not match or records OMG so I uploaded that another 2weeks anyway today got the information I asked for WHICH IS ALL WRONG START DATE OF POLICY WRONG AND IAM FOAMING AT THE MOUTH NOW MY NI IS WRONG THRESE PEAPLE MUST LIVE ON ZORG THE SPECIAL PLANET FOR PENSION FRAUD AND THEFT BY DECEPTION WELL THERE YOU GO SUCKERS ANOTHER WEEK OVER AND STILL YOU Didn t GET WHAT YOU REQUESTED NO STATEMENTS NO PAPERWORK WE SAID WAS ON ITS WAY YOU CAN TELL WEN WE ARE Lying ARE LIPS MOVE Absolutely shocking TOTAL AND UTTER LIES DAY AFTER DAY I can not find words strong enough for the way thay are makeing me feel backstreet market traders everything I have asked for has been ignored I been asking for a statement now for almost 4mth just get junk mail delay tactics IE are records show we do not hold a NI number for you then it s the NI number you provided dose not match or records Am I missing something if that don t hold a NI Number how would it match so after weeks of too and Theo got that sorted then I ve been asking for a retirement pack nothing everything I ve asked for has been ignored I then was told on one of my many many calls I had 5 peal policies wen I asked about them and why they where there thay where deleted now if there where in my name on my account should I not have been notified B4 deleted I asked who created them still no answer in light of all this I ve decided to cash out and move on Iam so so stressed with it all absolutely shocking way to run such a large company it makes my skin ITCH just to here the name phoenix that just keep putting obstacles in the way four months absolutely useless if you asked what time it was we will let you no in five to ten days don t bank on it

Grim and frustrating dealing with this outfit
A bereavement followed by appalling customer service Repeated failures to follow through with myself and financial advisers perpetual failures to fully answer questions posed and repeated mistakes in investigating these Even false claims being made about events that never occurred whilst inconvenient facts are just ignored Their absolute contempt for any meaningful standard of customer care is only matched by my lack of regard for a company that cannot be factual in recognising events and fabricates events that have just not occurred Just awful

Bad for UK Workers and Unsafe
I currently hold a pension with one of the companies this organisation has bought out Large companies like this that go in and dismantle UK founded companies they have purchased and then outsource all the work to India are horrible for the UK workforce and massively diminish the quality and standards those companies were founded upon There is also a massive safety concern with Indian data leaks that allow scammers to obtain customer details I definitely don t want thousands and thousands of pounds of my money and my own personal information exposed to Indian call centre scammers Once I find a secure UK based pension provider that puts it s employees and customers ahead of its shareholders I will be moving my pension far away from Phoenix Group

If you can get access to your pension your lucky This company use all the delaying tactics they can to release your money In addition the staff are rude inept and of little use Dreadful experience Avoid like the plaque

Awful firm with non existent customer service
Agree with majority of negative reviews and experience I am also currently going through a horrific experience with this company Customer service team pension admin team and transfer team totally disjointed and blaming each other for delays They transferred out my funds to Standard Life without authorisation Issued a complaint to their ceo Andy Briggs I would encourage others to do the same Ombudsman complaint also advisable

had a policy for 25 years never missed a payment matured 2 years ago still not received my money customer service a joke sent id twice they say keep losing items having to go through ombudsman s to try and get my money don t invest if i was you make sure you read all the small print
