Costly delay

Good range of products quick delivery - so long as they have all components in your order I notice I got an invite to post this review after n simple order for cable was supplied on time Sadly my original large order placed after checking many other suppliers was much delayed Refitting a client s widebeam boat meant we needed round pin sockets for the 12 volt system along with a variety of other products The order went through without delay and we were informed delivery would be the following day All good Not Just priornto delivery we were told by email that one product line wasn t available It would be delayed by several weeks This meant we could no longer complete the refurbishment on time We rang to chase this on the date given but the items were still not available We eventually received them about 3 weeks late When we invoiced the client they demanded a discount due tongue delay in moving back on board Very disappointed All that could have been avoided had we been told at the time of ordering that one line wasn t available We were left with no choice but to wait as other products available would not match

Delivery was super fast but the wrong item was sent Still used it though as it was just differnt to the one ordered

beware of tlcs return policies - resolved

I ordered some led dimmers online worth 98 00 from their site After delivery my electrician tried to install them and said that they were unsuitable and removed them Guess what when I tried to return them to tlc I contacted them the day after delivery so they knew I hadn t had it for long and get a refund they refused Apparently it wasn t brand new if it was tried My question is how is anyone supposed to find out if dimmers are suitable if they don t try it This is the fastest 100 I lost Pls use amazon for more customer friendly returns policy Also the manager emailed me to say I was posting my version of the truth on trust pilot and that he would set it right by posting the truth FURTHER UPDATE I ve subsequently been contacted by tlc who have offered to post me additonal components to make the dimmers compatible I m really pleased with this outcome and grateful that they eventually decided to work with me to resolve the issue

They ve got everything you want the breadth of range is incredible but the prices aren t the best

Prices are going up and up and up We bought the same light fitting in 2018 and again this year and it is 33 more expensive this time

Advertised item in stock when it isnt

Advertised item in stock when it isn t then offer little no customer serviceOrder 50m drum of cable which was in stock and then got emailed that they didn t have it They had the loose cable available but refused to offer the loose cable at the same price as the drum and as there was over 50p difference per meter I couldn t justify the extra cost Terrible customer service Im left having to source from elsewhere and my customer is left disappointed Update - I wanted to write a quick update I was engaged really quickly by TLC management who could not have been more apologetic and tried to resolve my issue brilliantly Unfortunately I had already purchased alternatives but I was really impressed with how they reacted and there desire to improve my experience As such I have changed my experience from 1 star to 3

Every time I go to the counter the

Every time I go to the counter the service is very good and the range of items stocked is comprehensive However you ve chosen to partner with DPD for your deliveries in my area and they are letting you down very badly Rescheduled deliveries simply not arriving when promised and consequently I look amateurish in front of my customers The parcel is apparently stuck back at the DPD depot without explanation and so the tracking facility is not informative - it s not out for delivery So I recommend TLC for in person purchases but from my perspective 5 days and counting to deliver in-stock items and with no estimated delivery time or tracking information is absolutely totally unacceptable You d do yourselves a big favour by fixing this I ve had to order from elsewhere to cover these items - irritating and costly

Ordered an extractor fan the delivery

Ordered an extractor fan the delivery was very good but the goods were damaged when I came to fit several weeks later Some of the fan casing was broken but I had no time to await a replacement as it had to be fitted that day otherwise I would have lost a days wage Not impressed at all on this occasion Also the fan was not the best quality for the price After having a lengthy conversation with a manager from TLC who was very apologetic and as annoyed as I was that I had received a damaged product I should also state that I have had a partial refund I have decided to amend my original review as it was written in haste anger and annoyance

TLC first thought they did not have my

TLC first thought they did not have my product on stock even though the website thought they had one They therefore cancelled my order 24 hours later they phoned me to say they had found it and sent it very promptly having re-entered my order
