Tuincentrum nl has problems labeling their products with update

Update Something changed after writing this review The update can be found at the end of this initial review -- Initial review --I m very disappointed with this company 2 years ago I ordered a self-pollinating Plumtree I placed it in the best spot in my garden and let it grow This first-year the tree gave only small fruits I did not make much of it because it takes at least one year for the tree to establish its root system In the 2nd year I the tree fruited again Unfortunately they weren t Plums but Apples And not only any apples but bad-tasting hard green apples that only serve as compost nowadays I complained to Tuincentrum they asked me for a picture and the receipt I had both gladly After presenting the evidence they offered me a 50 refund 50 seriously I was sold something I did not purchase I was given an inferior product in the process and now I am left with an issue in my garden If I want to fix the issue I have to uproot a well-established tree that gives very undesirable fruit All because they failed to label their products correctly And yes the label clearly stated that it was a Plumtree not an Apple tree I decided against accepting their offer It is just ridiculous They had one job and failed miserably -- Update -- So after writing this review I got contacted by Tuincentrum nl Their approach has changed significantly since then so credit where it s due They ve been quite polite and understanding this time This of course does not change anything about the original issue but I am glad to see that they are working on changing the way they approach their customers So after being contacted and giving my order number I was given an apology and offered a full refund It has been a long time since the moment of the purchase so in all fairness they did not have to do any of this I accepted the full refund since I did not get what I purchased anyway And unfortunately I still have to root out the tree that I originally planted from them Beyond that I was offered to be given for free a plant of the month I decided against it since I have a particular idea of what plants I want in my garden I m glad that at least we reached a more centred point this time

Delay and bad quality plants

I had to wait 2 days longer and the plants look very bad

Risk of getting the wrong plants

I ordered a prunus dulcis almond tree leivorm Acer Palmatum Shaina and some small non plant materials in January The prunus was a naked rooted tree and had some damage to both of its lower branches which form part of the leivorm those branches are both now partially dead Once the Shaina got its leaves it was clear that it wasn t a Shaina but another red leaved variety - thus not what I ordered I was refunded the money After a long period where the prunus probably had to grow its roots it only got leaves late in the season It turned out not to be an almond tree but some other variety of prunus probably plum They first disagreed and notified me that the supplier confirmed that it was indeed an almond prunus dulcis but after requesting that they send me the name of the variety and a photo of the leaves they replied that it was indeed not an almond They offered to deliver the correct tree only to let me know a day after that they don t have the correct tree in stock and can t deliver it I was then told that they refunded me 3 days ago which I questioned They told me again I was refunded and that they can send me a proof of payment if needed I asked for the proof of payment and it turned out that they referred to the refund for the Shaina which was 4 months ago They told me yesterday that I will be refunded for the prunus but I am still awaiting the refund 2 out of 2 plants wrong This is shameful but what is even worse is that there was no attempt to try and improve my view of the company by going the extra mile and offering me something for free or even buying in the plants from a competitor so they can supply me with the correct ones With so many online plant shops why would you ever order from this one

Plants don t look like what s offered on the website

Plants delivered don t look alike what s offered on the website They arrive in a close to dead state Hope they will survive Next time we visit a real store again

No refunds for returns

I have ordered 3 plants from their website and returned one a week ago They have nicely requested my bank details to return the money and since I have provided that I have not heard back from them I sent another email to check if the money has been transferred and if not when to expect it but I still have no reply to that

One item did not get delivered

One item did not get delivered When contacting costumer service I had to upload pictures of all items I did get delivered first before they even wanted to take the complain into consideration No answer back after taking this effort whereas I think it s their responsibility to take care of their mistakes not me Reply came after two days and they solved the issue by refunding
