The service I normally purchase from an Up and Running competitor who have this watch on sale for 30 less than Up and Running however they were understandably out of stock I found Up and Running had shops in my area so I figured I ll pay the extra since it s going back into the local area This was the first and probably last time I will use Up and Running I ordered the product on the Fri 3rd postage is apparently immediate including Saturdays Tue 8th my order was marked complete and so I rang up as I hadn t had a tracking number or a watch I was told there had been a mix up and so I won t get my tracking number but my watch will arrive that night I got the T-shirt that night but not the watch Wed 9th I tried to ring at 16 50 I left work 10 minutes early to make the call but nobody answered I just let the call ring until eventually someone hung it up Clearly nobody wanted to answer a call so close to closing but if the opening time is 17 00 then in my opinion you answer calls at 16 50 Thur 10th I called and was told there had been a mess up with my original messed up postage but they ll send one special delivery Fri 11th the watch arrived in a bag with no padding and so my watch case was crushed and marked I m pretty such if I tried to return the watch in this condition it would be refused Luckily the watch works which is lucky because the main part of the box that was crushed is the plastic part which shows the watch there is also a scratch on the watch casing I m sure when posting a 269 00 watch someone could put some shredded paper or anything in the bag to prevent damage So 2 stars for price service and 2 stars for overall performance of the company and not the watch I will add that I rang Up and Running Clitheroe a couple of times and the main Up and Running number all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially the Clitheroe shop which is partly why I m posting this review Without knowing you gave poor service you ll never get better because seriously I cannot be bothered writing all of this down

Oh dear Cheltenham store you really need to look at your staff customer interaction
Oh dear My first visit to the Cheltenham store I m a new runner who needed advice on trail running shoes I don t claim to know everything about running gear but I m not an idiot but the girl in the store decided that perhaps I was what an arrogant young woman I ve rarely met someone so unsuited to their job She clearly knew everything there was to know about advising someone as to what they needed The art of making a sale is to first listen to your customer and guide them At no point was I even tempted to try anything on Needless to say I left without making a purchase My advice don t bother with this store

Disappointing customer service
Giving a 2 as the Brooks trainers I ordered were a really good price Issues with delivery which I sorted myself after no response to my email to Up Running reply came after I d sorted it After 3 weeks the fabric of the right trainer had begun to wear away at the big toe joint so I sent a photo email No response A month on this area is now a hole These are my second pair of Brooks and I can t believe they are breaking down so fast I m assuming that Up Running are struggling with their customer service such a shame My sister also bought a pair of trainers from them at my recommendation - but I won t be a customer again

Don t use this site
Took NINE days after taking my money before they clsimed delivery would be made Delivery was claimed to have been made but nothing was delivered and the name of the signature is none of my neighbours Although I have been trying to contact them no response and no real surprise considering the way the whole process has been handlwd NEVER USE THE ONLINE SITE

Not what I was expecting
Visited Chandlers Ford 29th Jan having undertaken the Up Running January 21 day return to running challenge to purchase new running shoes Service was not what I was expecting very impersonal and the lady serving me was serving multiple clients at once The couple behind me however were being served by a gentlemen and were getting a very personal and interactive service which I was expecting too showing genuine interest in his client Given the experience made my excuses and left to purchase elsewhere Think I may have just been unlucky as if the other member of staff served me would have very likely purchased

Manchester store
Went to the Manchester store today Yea I m 39 years old but not once have I bought a pair of running trainers So my running pals said go up and running they are great and get some brooks can t just justify paying 140-150 for these I m not that good yet And from today they used to great when they had the store in Hyde The guy that severed me was an absolute waste of time I told him from the beginning I cannot justify paying 150 for a pair of running trainers And I never have had my Gait stride measured So need some help and advice I think I m flat footed and do suffer with shin splints I went on a treadmill for a few mins and the chap I wasn t expecting a detailed analysis but something a bit more substantial He said we have these And brought me New balance FF 1080 V12 rrp 145 a pair of adidas not sure on price and pair of saucony given these where nice but at 140 a bit out of my range tho the Saucony were really nice just this pair of orange ones was out of my budget The guy who served me was more interested in a chap buying a quick pair of shoes He looked a more seasoned runner He never said or mentioned we have some on our website that are the same but a little cheaper Shame really was hoping for a little more I ll try decathlon next time they may have more time for the average Joe Two stars because I think I have found a pair I like Fingers crossed plus added bonus I found a pair on your website for 78 given different colour Tip don t go in near closing time or within 90mins of closing time

Bought a shoe that is causing quite a
Bought a shoe that is causing quite a bit of pain on the side of my left foot Went back to the store and they loosend the laces and told me to try it again for a while Here is hoping the problem is solved Otherwise its one expensive trainers with a lot of pain Have never had such a problem with all the trainers i have bought to date Gut instinct says it may be a design structural problem I might be wrong Ve shall see

Salesperson just wanted to sell ANY trainer
The trainers that I ended up with were just not fit for purpose I needed to run a marathon but the shoes were far too heavy for me I got a bad back after my first run The advice given did not cover this This was a suprise as the very reason I used Up and Running was so I got the right pair of trainers for my needs In the end i got the impression that the salesperson just wanted to sell any trainer she could

Advised to get shoes that are far too big
Whilst the staff were very friendly I think some of them might need training refreshed Initially all seemed positive the shop assistant sized my feet up by looking at them and brought me some shoes to try They were a lot bigger than my usual size but he advised it s normal to size up for running and checked where my toe was I asked for gait analysis and ran on the treadmill and was told it was all fine I went with the shoes recommended but now I ve started running with the new shoes it s clear they re at least a size too big and my feet move around inside them so they re not going to be safe to run in
