I started the medical assisting program

I started the medical assisting program and everything was great course material was great I felt like I was really learning I successfully graduated and took the certification exam through the NHA Passed the NHA exam My only thing is now that I have graduated I am looking for a job and almost all job posting require you to be certified through the AAMA not the NHA I looked into getting certified through the AAMA but I cannot do so because the school is not accredited through the CAAHEP or the ABHES Check all job posting before you sign up with this school to make sure they are accredited by the right organizations and the testing is though the appropriate organization I am disappointed with the whole experience now I feel like I have wasted 1500 and 6 months of my life

Where are the entry level medical coding and billing jobs

The course and staff are great I finished in June 2019 and I have not been able to get a job Grad Services helped me with my Cover Letter and Resume but most places will not hire you unless you ve been coding for 1-3 years It would be nice if the school could help you with finding a job in your city through an internship There are no prospects for an entry level Medical Coder or Biller here in Arkansas I may have to move out of state just to find an entry level medical coding and billng job I ve tried all the entry level jobs patient representative medical clerk medical records etc and they won t hire you unless you have at least a year experience

Improper Grading

I am changing my initial review of the Medical Aaisstant after my first lesson was complete I was satisfied However I have found mistakes on the quiz grading in lesson 4 and 5 which caused my grade to be lowered since the questions were counted wrong but were actually answered correct I have emailed the instructor and attached the info from the lesson that shows my answer is correct and asked for my grade to be adjusted I have not heard back This is very frustrating I study and take my time on the quizzes but yet I get marked wrong answers that I can prove are correct I hope to hear back from the instructor and get my grade adjusted
