Recently there has been lots of hateful comments death threats negative messages going around in the app Many authors are now taking down their books due to the comments affecting their mental health If Wattpad truly stands against bullying emotional harassment hate death threats then it should come up with features that allow authors to disable their comments or filter their comments section Until this problem has been solved Wattpad gets a negative review Some of us readers are no longer able to have an enjoyable experience due to this Mental Health is a real life issue and at the moment Wattpad is not providing full support for their authors

This is personal for me I won t go into too much detail my ex has written a couple of stories on the app They are very explicit and are very detailed about out sex life It s traumatizing humiliating and disgusting Wattpad won t do anything about it because she doesn t use my name

Review survey pop up keep popping up

Review survey pop up keep popping up every 3 seconds and it s impossible to read anything at all Closing browser refresh page etc will not stop the ads One or 2 ads in a while is okay but this is getting ridiculous The site is completely unusable Please stop that survey pop up

Used to be a really good app but all the stories are getting deleted for being mature and now you can only read 2 stories offline keeps giving me adds for premium and instead of getting books reccomended to me it s giving me books i have to pay for It s now just a stupid money hungry app now I wish it would go back to what it used to cuz it s pissing me off

Appauling service as if they don t even care about their customers

They had a data breach recently The breach itself was known publicly a week before they posted a notice on their website It took a further couple days before they even started notifying their users of the data breach I m not entirely sure its legal to be sitting on this information for so long before beginning to think about telling their users I lost access to two accounts with payment and bank information on them around the time this happened I m certain it wasn t a coincidence I frankly don t feel safe having an account with them anymore and so I have decided to delete it If you re considering opening an account with them proceed with caution

YOUR WRITING IS NOT SAFE ON WATTPAD

I was writing my novel as I have been for years and thought I might share it as I progress Biggest mistake using wattpad Wattpad is so insecure that SEVERAL mirror websites now have my entire novel at their disposal displaying it as if they own it themselves with no way for me to remove it This has perhaps been the most traumatic experience in writing for me as this might mean I can never publish this story professionally I could hardly write for months DO NOT PUBLISH ORIGINAL NOVELS ON WATTPAD EVER

I say find another place to post I recently realized two of my stories were deleted and when I contacted Wattpad I got an automated response saying why it may have been deleted nothing definitive My thing is it was original work I should have been informed and given the opportunity to at least copy my work beforehand I spent hours working on both stories and they had the highest views and now it is gone They should contact their writers and give them opportunity to delete the material themselves in a certain time frame The way this was done was sad I will not post or recommend Wattpad to anyone ever again

I Joined Wattpad Premium Member uploaded and edited stories Was ranked in several categories on the site All my stories then disappeared Reached out to Wattpad in a device ticket and received no response other then the standard reply once you submit a ticket Wattpad had one job to not lose the content writers upload I have looked on the web and this is a fairly common occurrence on this app

Honestly I do not know what Wattpad is on anymore It goes down either DMs notifications books or the servers entirely every five seconds and it has been doing this for years How it has not been fixed by a competent computer science team I do not know because no other app has this issue so often This site must have spaghetti code on the level of Yandere Dev at this point due to how dysfunctional it runs Sometimes I refresh the page and suddenly the page is in Arabic instead of English - how does this even happen And there s an abundance of books that is against the TOS which clearly shows a lack of moderation Furthermore Wattpad is constantly updating its site and app in a way that users hate to make it look more stylish without actually fixing the problem 0 10
