Limited Success with Coupons and Tree Planting
I signed up for TenereTeam about two months ago after reading about their concept of saving money through coupons while also planting trees with each purchase. The idea itself is fantastic and aligns with my values of trying to shop more consciously, but my actual experience has been somewhat disappointing compared to what I expected.
The browser extension was easy to install and does automatically pop up when I'm shopping on supported retailer websites. However, I've found that many of the coupons either don't work at checkout or offer minimal savings compared to codes I can find myself through a quick Google search. Out of maybe twenty shopping trips where the extension activated, I'd say only five or six times did I actually get a working discount code that saved me anything meaningful.
The tree-planting aspect is nice in theory, but there's limited transparency about how many trees have actually been planted or where they're located. I would love to see more detailed reporting or a personal dashboard showing my environmental impact, as that would make the experience feel more tangible and rewarding.
Customer support responded to my inquiry about a non-working coupon code, but it took over a week to hear back, which felt slow. The website interface is functional but could use some modernization to feel more trustworthy and professional. Overall, TenereTeam has potential as a concept, but the execution needs significant improvement before I would enthusiastically recommend it to friends.
