Mixed experience with platform functionality and delayed payments
I initially had high hopes for Sparefare as a platform to sell unused flight tickets, but my experience has been disappointing. While the concept is solid, the execution falls short in several key areas. My primary concern is the payment process. I successfully sold two flight vouchers through Sparefare, but received payments nearly three weeks after the transactions completed. The lack of transparency regarding payment timelines was problematic, and customer support couldn't provide clear explanations for the delays. For sellers relying on quick turnaround for their funds, this is a significant drawback.
Additionally, the marketplace fees are higher than competitors I've researched, reducing profit margins considerably. The verification process for sellers is thorough, which I appreciate for security, but the platform could streamline certain workflows.
