Affordable Direct Mail Service, But Quality and Support Need Improvement
I used Cactus Mailing for our direct mail marketing campaign targeting local businesses, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. Their pricing is competitive and the platform is fairly easy to navigate for basic direct mail postcard campaigns.
However, I've encountered several frustrations. First, the print quality of the postcards was inconsistent - some batches looked great, while others had noticeably faded colors and misaligned text. This affected our professional image significantly. Second, their customer support response times are slow, often taking 48+ hours to address issues with bulk mail campaigns.
Additionally, the targeting options for direct mail marketing are somewhat limited compared to competitors. I needed more granular filtering capabilities for my specific marketing demographics. The delivery times also varied unexpectedly, making it difficult to coordinate direct mail timing with our other marketing efforts.
That said, the cost per piece is reasonable for postcard marketing, and the basic campaign management tools work adequately. If Cactus Mailing improves their print quality control and customer support responsiveness, they could be a solid option for budget-conscious direct mail marketing.
