Grip Tape Finish Was Messy and Looked Unprofessional
One of the first things I noticed about this skateboard was the grip tape quality. When it arrived, the grip tape hadn’t been trimmed cleanly at all—the edges were uneven and slightly jagged, which immediately made the board look poorly finished. While I understand that performance mostly depends on the deck and wheels, the overall presentation still matters, especially for anyone who appreciates a clean, professional look. Sloppy grip tape cuts can make the board feel cheaply assembled and may even lead to peeling over time compared to a properly trimmed surface. It’s not a major deal-breaker, but it was definitely disappointing and gave the impression that quality control wasn’t a top priority. With a little more care during installation, this issue could have been easily avoided. Functionally, the board rides fine, but the overall finish could be much better.
