Premium Prices With Average Results
I ordered a Barbour-style jacket from British-attire about four weeks ago after seeing their website featured premium British brands. The website looked professional and the product photos were detailed. The checkout was smooth, and I received an order confirmation immediately. However, my experience from that point became disappointing. Delivery took nearly three weeks, which seemed excessive for domestic shipping. When the jacket finally arrived, it was well-packaged but the garment itself didn't match the quality I expected at that price point. The fabric felt thinner than expected, and some stitching appeared rushed with uneven threading in places. The fit was also odd—it ran large despite the size chart, forcing me to contact customer service about returning it. Their response took almost a week. The return process required me to cover shipping, which felt unfair given the quality issues. They eventually approved a refund, but the whole process was tedious and time-consuming. While they do stock legitimate British brands, their pricing is significantly higher than shopping directly from manufacturers or alternative retailers. For what you pay, the value doesn't seem proportional. Overall, British-attire may have a good reputation, but my experience revealed cracks in their service and value proposition. The premium prices don't justify the delivery wait times or quality inconsistencies I encountered.
