Multiple Transmission Failures and Disappointing Warranty Coverage
I cannot recommend Reman based on my experience. The first transmission failed in less than 2,000 miles after the servo cover blew out. The next three replacement transmissions provided under warranty also had serious issues: the second had a whining pump, the third wouldn't shift at all, and the fourth required a new valve body. The installer is currently repairing the fourth transmission by replacing the valve body, but I have little confidence in its long-term reliability.
The warranty also failed to cover the full costs associated with these repeated failures, including labor, towing, and rental vehicles. My first transmission was installed in October 2025, and as of June 2026, my truck is still being repaired after nine months of ongoing transmission problems. Although the warranty lasts three years, it only applies from the date the original transmission was installed. As a result, nine months of warranty coverage have already been used while my truck has spent most of that time in the shop with repeated defective replacements.
As requested by Reman, the installers, Port Lavaca Ford and McRee Ford, have the order numbers. I only have the warranty claim numbers.
