Hack victim, compensation came late and short
Atomic Wallet suffered a catastrophic supply-chain style attack in mid-2023 that drained tens of millions from user wallets, mine included, through no action on my part beyond normal use. The non-custodial design means there was no support department to appeal to, only an incident response team that later offered partial reimbursement from a recovery fund, covering a fraction of losses for many victims including myself. The wallet's core convenience is real, but the attack demonstrated its security model failed catastrophically when it mattered most. Store significant holdings anywhere else.
