One of the biggest changes in my approach to MagnoFx was how much more attention I started paying to the actual cost of executing a strategy. Before that, I mostly looked at the advertised spread and treated it as a quick comparison point between brokers. Once I started thinking about the spread and commission together, I realized that the number that matters is what the trade actually costs me from entry to exit. That became particularly relevant when looking at the MagnoFx RAW account. I take enough trades during active sessions that even relatively small differences in transaction costs can accumulate over dozens of positions. Having the spread and commission presented as separate components made it easier to calculate whether my strategy still had an acceptable edge after trading expenses.
