Months of Delays, Repeatedly Ignored Requests, and an Unresolved Roth IRA Rollover

I used Capitalize to help roll over my retirement accounts into Robinhood. What was advertised as a convenient, done-for-you service has turned into months of frustration, repeated support requests, and a Roth IRA rollover that remains unresolved.

My Traditional IRA and Roth IRA checks were sent in the same package. USPS confirmed delivery on October 5, 2026. My Traditional IRA was processed, but my Roth IRA funds never appeared in my Robinhood account.

Beginning October 13, I repeatedly asked Capitalize to investigate the missing check and verify its status with Robinhood. I followed up on October 15, 19, 23, 27, 28, 29, and November 3.

Instead of providing a resolution, support repeatedly asked me to check my Robinhood transaction history, provide availability for phone calls, or wait for another escalation.

On October 29, Capitalize finally explained that it could contact ADP to determine whether the check had been cashed and then work with Robinhood to locate the funds or arrange a replacement.

Why wasn't this investigation completed weeks earlier?

As of November 3, I still have no confirmation of what happened to my Roth IRA check, no confirmed processing date, and no documented resolution.

These are retirement funds. The prolonged delay has also kept this money from being invested as intended.

I chose Capitalize because I expected the company to manage the rollover process. Instead, I've spent months chasing updates and repeatedly asking for basic investigative steps.

I cannot recommend Capitalize based on this experience. If you're considering using its service, be aware that when something goes wrong, you may find yourself responsible for repeatedly pushing the company to investigate it.
