Such an idiotic system paying tax for this attitude I have fever and covid symtoms difficulty in breathing I Called 1177 se for just a simple question that if it will be more difficult for me to breath what should i do the nurse replied oh its just a normal virus u should seek care at vard centralen i side i am asking about if i will be in more threatening situation she replied Narakuten I doubt if they are qualified enough to be medicos or not I said can i rush to the emergency bcz if it will be midnight I should know if they are taking covid symtoms patients or not Then she replied generally u go to narakuten i replied for life threatning situations also then also she did not say anything Then i ask myself that can i go to emergency in that case she replied May be I am so offended right now what these people think that we are And this is why we pay our so hiGh taxes for

This is a joke
This is a joke Some granny will answer the phone telling you basic stuff about your health problems that you already know She once redirected me to a dentist that overcharged me without even respecting the appointment or helping me with my tooth issue Or she might redirect you to ER if you really don t feel well where they will tell you that as long as you are able to walk and talk there s no reason for you to be there They probably accept only corpses so they can push them to the morgue If you have health issues Sweden is not the country where you want to be Thank god I bought some medicine from my home country cause the family doctor will not do anything either They will maybe take a sample of your blood to analyze it and they will send you a letter at one point in the future Hopefully you ll still be alive to read it

Been living for 12 years here and not
Been living for 12 years here and not once did i have a decent interraction with their healthcare system 1177 is not a joke it s an insult Incompetent receptionists that sent me from one department to another back and forth without any result each deflecting help to others Apps that are buggy confusing and outright frustrating to use and i am in my 30s can t imagine what older generations are going through It s like a game of pinball they throw you from one receptionist to a nurse and so forth until maybe eventually if you don t give up you might get to a doctor

Unfriendly unhelpful unempathetic
I m not a Swedish citizen hence why I was happy to find this telephone number to get some advice on where to go to the doctor with my tonsillitis with fever I waited for over 20 minutes in the waiting line The health service lady told me to sleep and drink enough really Only thing I wanted to know was where I could go besides the hospital to get treatment She told me she couldn t tell me as there are many different places to go depending on what symptoms I have and to call again if my condition got worse and hung up on me when I tried to explain that I didn t want to wait another 20 minutes just to get an address and also that obviously I just needed a throat doctor Unhelpful unfriendly unempathetic and waste of time for people who actually want and need help

Poor judgement almost lead to a disaster
Called 1177 about my spouse who is 37 weeks pregnant had dangerous fever and was vomiting the whole night At 3AM a representative from 1177 suggested to drink more water which made the situation even worse We explained to her multiple times that the situation is really really bad the water cannot stay in her body for 10 seconds and she is dehydrated and basically fading away The nurse just said to drink more water anyway At 7 30AM my spouse was basically collapsing I took her to the emergency hospital where they said it was super dangerous for both her and the baby There are so many people in Sweden who would like to help other people and work in healthcare sector Why hire someone who doesn t like to help We pay 40-60 of our salary to maintain healthcare system and this is what we get To be honest I m not even angry anymore I m just happy both her and the baby are alive and well Thanks for nothing
