Amazing service today

Amazing service today the doctor was so kind and considerate the person who took my call today was also very kind and helpful I was having pain and with my GP being closed I was referred to an out of hours GP I had already been to the pharmacist with no improvement The doctor prescribed me some antibiotics and hopefully will recover soon Don t think I would ve got this quality of care empathy and patience from my own GP to be honest

I had no idea what a good service this was Quite a wait between the initial triage call speaking to a doctor hearing from the appointments team but what a relief to be able to access medical care for serious conditions out of hours these days My initial call was answered within one minute there was excellent care from the doctors at the Out of Hours hub Thank you 111

Christmas time complications resolved

It was Christmas Eve I began to loose blood from my back passage I called 111 the lady I spoke to was very calming helpful She showed genuine concern for my problem giving me good advise telling me that a doctor would contact me ASAP Shortly after I called by the Doctor who again was very helpful giving me excellent advice I must express how grateful I am to NHS 111 the service they provided at a time when really needed it Great service by professional people many thanks

I was advised by the pharmacy at Tesco s in Truro that I had shingles and needed to ring 111 for a prescription I honestly couldn t fault the service and the quickest of the on call doctor ringing me back I don t live in Truro but miles away in Lancashire They were all so professional

111 couldn t have been more helpful I had bad ear pain and suspected an infection I rang them and they booked me an appointment with urgent care they were so kind on the phone saying take care of yourself I hope you feel better soon Then a couple of days later my other ear started to hurt I thought I had another infection so I rang again Olivia answered and she was so sweet and kind she wanted to refer me to a medical professional for some advice I wanted they were very busy so she said they d call me back A few hours later I got a call from a man just to say we are so sorry for the delay our medical advisors are very busy but they ll call you soon and just apologising and again saying make sure you look after yourself Then the medical advisor called and she was also just so kind and comforting pitying me as well as helping and she booked me in again with emergency care Thank you so much

Very thankful regarding the people who helped me through the phone Thank you for being there for us meaning a lot when you don t feel well I highly appreciate and In my opinion thanks God in my case it wasn t something severe but in many cases I m sure this call save many lives Thank you again Emma one of the nurses from Dorset was very helpful

I developed shingles my wife is a medical professiinal so new it was Called 111 bit of a wait 20 mins spoke to a really polite call handler A vist to urgent care was arranged we were seen promptly Treated by a paramedic james who was fast efficient Given correct diagnosis treatment and left Abosolutely brilliant This service works well if you really do have a clinical problem 5 5

Excellent advice far better than 999 in our case

Excellent advice our 30 daughter had a medical emergency but couldn t sit due to severe pain The 111 advisor referred us to a Urgent Care Centre at Scunthorpe General We live closer to Hull Royal but his advice was not for us to attend as there is only an A E and our daughter would be seen quicker at Scunthorpe She was after literally 10 minutes she was through in emergency there she had scans consultants registrars seeing to her and into surgery for what was an serious emergency operation She was one lucky young lady A big thank you to whoever the male advisor was on Sunday 3rd September at around 12 10 pm his advice was the best
