Stay away Had the misfortune of entrusting Chris Hamlin from Abercrombie Kent UK to organise our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar 10 days trip paid 7 3k GBP for two people Excluding the flights to from Tanzania In Zanzibar we were placed to a dilapidated 3 star hotel with sea water in the shower no air conditioning and poor Wi-fi connection In the luxury honeymoon itinerary brochure compiled by Mr Hamlin the hotel was described as an ideal retreat for those looking for that extra special honeymoon or a holiday with an air of exclusivity The fact that the hotel was of mere 3 stars and is missing air conditioning was omitted from the brochure Upon return we contacted Mr Hamlin and requested a breakdown of the costs of our trip as after checking online the prices of the places we stayed at the numbers failed to add up Mr Hamlin referred us to an equally unhelpful Mr Craig Masters who argued that the hotel was a valuable addition to their portfolio and refused to provide any breakdown Moreover he advised that for our budget that hotel was our best shot Disappointing experience but a good life lesson

We had a fabulous A K Egypt tour in Feb 2020 - it was of course pricey but could not have been better in any way I sang the praises of A K to everyone I knew Then booked a China trip my husband s dream for Sept-Oct 2021 Rather than cancel the trip when it became abundantly clear traveling to China was a non-starter A K suspended the trip so we could not receive a refund So stupid us we rebooked for April 2022 thinking all should be well by then - which of course as we now know it wasn t A K played the same game as the trip date came ever closer and it became QUITE clear that reasonable travel to China was still a non-starter they still maintained the trip was on So we were forced to cancel and of course they ve kept our money ever since They will only honor as a credit any part of the money they ve been holding if we book a trip that begins on or before April 15 2023 I cannot trust them to act in an honorable way as they ve not throughout this pandemic experience Appalling customer treatment for a high-end company

We have travelled with A K a total of 4 times Never had a problem until this last trip Booked a private trip for 4 of us in Norway after a Baltic cruise The took so long to book the trip that we were placed in a Clarion hotel It was totally unacceptable and we booked our own room at a 5 star property We were told that we would be reimbursed for the difficulties but are still waiting It has been 2 months I would NOT recommend this company Too much money for the extremely poor customer service

Terrible service terrible customer
Terrible service terrible customer experience this company is so rude and with all the covid situation that is going on deserves 0 stars I contacted them 2 times with two different trips and received minimal attention Nobody called back and their agents were so rude Ended up booking a luxury African trip with their competitor And Beyond

I had booked a trip to Morocco with A K
I had booked a trip to Morocco with Abercrombie and Kent for the spring of 2022 Due to the Covid situation in Morocco level 4 I decided to cancel I purchased insurance to have the ability to cancel for any reason-it was very expensive but with the world situation I thought that was my best option Luckily I only paid the 1000 dollar deposit and did not pay the full amount they were demanding They refunded just 300 of my deposit I have tried to contact the company several times but no one will return my calls or respond to my emails I have taken a dozen trips with A K and mostly have had a good experience I just want to warn people that if you have to cancel or change plans you are going to lose your money whether you have insurance or not

What a disappointment is A K
We went to South of Italy with A K Rome Sardenha Sicily and Puglia It was a very expensive trip with a private jet Two of the four hotels where we stayed were really bad but the worst part was they lost our luggage Yes on a private jet And we received no apologies did not paid us clothes or anything

Beware of this company This company insisted we pay full price 2 weeks before they canceled our trip to Africa due to Covid Then they refused to give us a full refund We had to invoke the insurance to get some of our payment returned and then our credit card insurance reimbursed a bit more we are still out 3000 for a trip we ll never take certainly not with A K

A K cancelled -waiting and waiting for refund
Our party of 4 had a trip to planned to Galapagos and Machu Picu Peru from Mar 26-April 6 2023 Due to alleged unrest in Peru our trip was cancelled by A K We have traveled with A K on several trips and been pleased in the past however this scheduling was much less organized The minute the trip was cancelled our tour agent requested our substantial monies for the 12 day trip to be refunded We have made several attempts to get through to A K with no one answering the phone Our agent has left several messages yet no return calls or mention of when to expect our refund Not sure what our next step is but I hate that we have to fight for a refund
