Back to the 1960 s

Left car in the dark hours and then collected in the dark But car park lighting is very poor so too the rough surface to negotiate on wet windy night Shelter outside Birmingham terminal was directly open at one end to the force of storm Isha We got drenched inside the shelter waiting far too long for the bus

Damage to car

Used Airparks at Slip End any number of times however I have just used the self park facility for the first time and won t risk it again No images of your car are taken prior to parking and as such there is little recourse if your vehicle is damaged I returned to my car which had been parked a sensible distance from the cars either side only to find new vehicles had been parked on both sides of my vehicle and both were only a couple of feet away Unsurprisingly I now have two lovely fresh dents in my front doors caused by the selfish occupants of those cars which will cost me well over 100 to have repaired Never happened to me in years of allowing Airparks to park my car

Outward journey was fine but hard to

Outward journey was fine but hard to locate a parking space bus dropped us at the departure entrance Return journey was a nightmare Heavy rain and no shelter over pick up area H so everyone sheltered in the departure area entrance bus arrived and it was a complete fight to get on board - bus overloaded and I did not realise that they also dropped passengers off at the hotel and Green Zone Many passengers left behind

Not a great greet

It was ok Inputting info onto site didn t work properly and repetetive messages and reminders pre trip for what is just parking Which in hindsight I could ve just done myself at Luton and saved money On arrival it wasn t much of a greet the bloke was blunt and essentially rude Actually it wasn t ok it was pretty crap

I parked in the blue short stay car

I parked in the blue short stay car park It s not very close to the terminal and is about a 650 -700 metre walk So you must expect a 10-15 minute walk with cases The published walk time is inaccurate As a short stay car park I will never use it again but will use the other proper short stay parks Beware

Used meet and greet at luton

Used meet and greet at luton dropping car off was simple and straight forward picking the car up was easy it was spoilt by the fact the rear shock absorber which was fine when we left the car at the airport had been broken

No record of my booking at the site on

No record of my booking at the site on arrival had to wait around and ended up having to show my email On leaving same issue drove up to the barrier and didn t recognise my car asking to pay which was done online a week previously Had to reverse away from the barrier and go to the office to prove payment Not good enough and quite embarrassing having to reverse away from the barrier

Barrier to leave just didn t go up from

Barrier to leave just didn t go up from reading my number plate Ticket was wider than scanner slot So had to press Green assistance button and wait eventually it just went up BUT down too fast to get back in my car Luckily l had a passenger to repeat the process and get back in after driving through This was 2am and no other cars but this unnecessary farce must occur at peak times with queues Even putting Green button and Scanner in the same place would be a logical step

Not as good as previous years Everything manual

Automatic check-in of car via scannable token email wasn t working on 7th Feb Manual key drop instead On return 14th Fed same manual handing out of car keys from a key cupboard automatic system not available Confusion over shuttle bus back to Airparks as there was an Airparks Quick Fast Park service waiting but we had to wait for normal shuttlebus

Disappointed customer

I recently parked at Gatwick airport south terminal and used the valet service of Maple parking On my outward journey I presented my car in a pristine condition Imagine my dismay and disappointment when I returned to collect my car the disgusting state Maple parking kept my car in It was covered in dirt as if was stored in a dust bowl field The interior on the driver s side was also filthy with what one can only surmised as red dirt being transported from drivers feet into the car Surely it wouldn t take much to wash the car and return it in its original condition at the point of drop-off I would strongly advise others to give Maple Parking a miss and use the onsite NCP parking facilities instead
