I am grateful for the benefits AMTA offers User friendly website friendly and knowledgable customer service and reasonable prices for CEU s My only concern is why do most of the national conferences happen back East I think we are deprived in the West Thank you for giving us a chance to rate the association and hope something will be done about the concerns

I enjoy the tips they provide on massage and the free courses given to help us keep our credentials updated

4 star only because I ve contacted you twice about name change and still have not changed my last name Other then that I m very satisfied

Great association Just wish the annual price would not rise Most therapist don t make a lot of money and membership is necessary for insurance

I probably don t take advantage of the Resourses offered I do skip many therapist direct articles because they are not very Interesting to me I have been in the business for almost 40 years and I think the requirements taught In massage are under taught for the power I see LMT s think they have from lack of palpation skills to power tools The CEU s are a requirement and necessary I have only experienced one 3 day class that when I walked out I said I learned one thing that I can add to my library of hands on That is an extreme rare occasion That was also 2010 I also would love for the AMTA to address the state for LMT s licensed for many years also called old school to have something that like if they have been practicing and licensed for 25 years that no more CEU s are required or if older than 65 When I find a class that teaches something of value and interesting I will take the class I also believe what is being taught in schools which I hear are state requirements is not enough Lack of enough education is dangerous for patients clients and injury will follow Getting a 2 year degree and taught more of the sciences and hands on will benefits everyone involved

I felt validated in the bodywork I was already providing by learning from like minded teachers I also learned a bunch of new techniques I have organically integrated into my practice I look forward to attending other conventions

I have been overwhelming pleased with the services provided by AMTA From the classes to the product discounts to the efficient phone and email responses from customer service The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to the last two years I stopped receiving my package in the mail with my certificate and wallet size certificate It is possible this is no longer a feature however I displayed my membership proudly I m looking forward to the continued amazing support from this association

Maybe it s just me but I feel like I don t get clear information in a timely manner I offered to volunteer at an event but didn t get any feedback Suddenly there s a class that we re supposed to take that I didn t read anywhere Im on a budget with other massage outlay commitments I love the commitment and enthusiasm of the people who get things done but I don t feel a part of whats going on

The venue food were fantastic Bummer that the pool and hot tub were closed Signage directing people where to go for table storage check-in etc could have been better start at hotel lobby The vendor hall was underutilized as usual Also the schedules should have been proofread so that people weren t showing up for the non-existent breakfast on Sunday that was on our schedules That being said it was the best AMTA WA conference I ve attended All of my classes were great and the wellness classes on Sunday were a real treat
