AMTA is MY FAMILY of CHOICEI first became an AMTA family member at school Did not get involved for about a year Went to 1 meeting in my area and only looked at the mailing snail mail then until l was approached to become a volunteer I have been an active volunteer since Seeing many changes over the years and always improving itself Helping states with issues public awareness etc

It wasn t a bad experience

I ve been a member of AMTA for 19 years having joined as a student I find the quality of people the interaction with local members and the access to information for myself my clients and to educate other healthcare providers on massage is very valuable and makes being a massage therapist a well-rounded experience The solitude of practice can sometimes be daunting to an outgoing type The interaction with local members and then meeting people from all over the country by getting involved with AMTA and attending convention has been awesome I love that it is a member driven organization for those who get involved who volunteer who complete surveys etc For me I found that AMTA has been responsive and ahead of the curve on most issues related to private practice group practice and the massage industry Their leadership on tough issues like human and sex trafficing including massage in the healthcare realm of services etc is great

I wish there was a better selection of CE courses

I recently joined Amta as a New MT I have gone to the convention in Washington and love the energy of the association Looking forward for many more years in the AMTA family

Love it when they had all the CEUs to choose from for the Ohio Chapter meeting in Mansfield OH a few years ago Super convenient and a good central location Quality classes

It is a great association Very informative and relative articles Great source of info for the wellness community

I ve appreciated the opportunity to take online courses offered by AMTA be assured of insurance coverage with membership having a place to account for all the Continuing Ed courses taken with the option to indicate beginning and ending dates and discounts to Massage Warehouse I continue to ask why the AMTA and other organizations representing Massage Therapists nationwide have not been able to offer a multi-state license to therapists as nurses have been offered If we are considered members of a healthcare network I would hope in the near future this would be an option It s redundant and costly for therapists to work in more than one state seasonally or otherwise

since signing up for this service it s been rather useful and satisfying and highly recommend to everyone in my field
