Looks like a scam judging by their own criteria

I was referred to these by Reed in Partnership who this company pay to advertise for them The website looks like a scam there is a permanent 98 discount a offer timer stock alert timer and they use stock images The course I have been doing IT support tech is embarrassingly low level and 10 years out of date referencing windows 8 as the latest version Much of the information is incorrect and the video quality is terrible VHS quality They do not test on each module and the exam is made up of template questions from teaching websites Their customer support is slow but well organised and they respond personally if you have any problems by email rather than a ticket system The website says they are accredited but the company is not a registered awarding body and some investigation revealed that this company isn t recognised by any awarding bodies educators or employers Further no one at City Guilds MEG or any other body has heard of them and my contacts in the local industry Cambridge haven t heard of them either and said they wouldn t consider it valid if seen on a CV The only reason I am continuing this course is because Reed in Partnership is paying for it and I said I would do it This will not be on my CV I am doing this to pass the time and to keep my advisor from giving me a hard time not out of choice or from expectation of any benefit or useful results Many of the reviews for ApexLearning on this website have the hallmarks of paid-for reviews Avoid avoid avoid EDIT The Awarding body listed on the website does not list them The Learning material is out of sequence and most of it doesn t relate to the subject of the course The section titles hardware has 5 short videos talking about hardware at a high-school level and the rest are relating to security The videos in the security section start with some basic reminders to install an AV and anti-malware tools then goes on to discuss some topics that can be covered in 10 mins of watching a decent YouTuber The basic IT literacy section has little to do with IT literacy as anyone would recognise it and is mostly about the medical industry doesn t mention the basics Videos in this section talk a lot of about paperwork and legislation These videos are the longest in the section where they think that topics like troubleshoot basic IT issues is a 15 min video compared to the previous section where you can expect to be told about acceptable use for an hour This is not a course for anyone who wants to a qualification in IT support Very little is about IT support almost never mentioned and is obviously designed for elderly CEOs The mock exam is dead and brings up a 404 And the final exam includes questions not at all related to IT or IT support such as questions about the American medical insurance industry The questions feel like they are random

UK IT support course that s actually made for USA

I bought an IT support refresher course last year that was listed at 3000 that dropped to 50 bearing in mind we are in 2022 the course was outdated showing information from as far back as 2003 so they added some newer courses onto my profile I m getting through the original course just to realize that this course isn t made for the UK everything correlates with American Laws and Practices completely different from UK IT Support Nothing at all indicates this course was made for Americans it also includes a ton of stuff about healthcare that isn t mentioned in the original course information I purchased this course with the intention to learn about IT support for businesses not specifically healthcare information I am in the UK studying on a org uk website so I expect my learning to be UK based As I m getting deeper into the course it s telling me to check pages of an unknown book another mistake within the course I wasn t given any extra book or file to read along with this course You wouldn t be able to use this qualification in the UK it s built for Americans Many subjects speak about state and federal programs American abbreviations that we do not use here The exam for this course is built for Americans not for UK-based students How on earth am I supposed to know subjects without this unknown extra piece of information they keep talking about This WILL NOT help you with any UK IT support roles and that so-called original pricing of 3000 would have me asking for an immediate refund It s disgusting that such a horribly made course is listed at anything over 10 and even worse that I ve spent a lot of time investing time and effort into this course

Awful company

Awful company please avoid them I accidentally booked a course with these they wouldn t allow me to cancel after 14 days my dog had just died of cancer then I had covid for three weeks so was unable to in their timeframe

DO NOT TAKE a course with APEX

I registered with APEX in March 2022 for the TQUK Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner RQF All course material was only PDF text documents Ok I was surprised but I accepted and was studying When I completed my first assignment I wanted to discuss it with a tutor and they did not allowed it They wanted me to complete all the course submit the assignment in the end all together and only then I would get a feedback Pretty bad but it gets worse In the end of May they have emailed me saying TQUK had cancelled their contract with them and in a phone call George Pitt made it clear that it was because Apex did not pass their Audit SHAMEFUL I contacted the awarding body TQUK to get some support since I was undertaking a course approved by them when I first subscribed and they informed me Apex had never informed the awarding body that I was one of their students after 3 months of registering with Apex So they want to transfer me to another provider that currently do not offer the course and they previously told me it would be ready by the end of July which I now find out can still take another 2 months Who knows if this is really the case I have tried my best to find another solutions so they can transfer me and they do not accept any loss Its only their students loss that is acceptable for them The worse provider ever Do not undertake a course with apexlearning org uk

Scam

Scam They re asking if I enjoyed my course but I never even got to do it Managed to log in once then wasn t able to for a couple of days I just kept getting page not found when I went into my email to log in from their link I had the same issue When I finally got on the whole course has been wiped from my account I haven t heard from them at all The only reason I went with Apex Learning were the high reviews Would not recommend

Unimpressed

Saw an ad on Reed courses for this company so I checked them out on Trustpilot and most of the reviews were ok Decided to contact the company via their web page only to be told that they do not do the course that is advertised on the Reed website Interesting The person dealing with the query clearly had no idea either and made no apology but instead decided to point out that it was a prep course for the course I needed Tell me something I didn t already know You either know what s on offer or you don t You may not run the actual course but you are clearly offering a course in preparation for it Surely you should know that Anyway I decided it would probably be better to go elsewhere

Hairdressing and barbering course Complete waste of money and time

Firstly to be as fair as possible this review is only for the Apex Learning Hairdressing and Barbering course The course consists of wordy essays about each chapter s topic surprisingly with no visual instructions What on earth and at the end of some only some lessons there is a youtube video which without even a single exception I found them all for free on youtube If you are even considering paying for this course DON T and if you have already paid for it let your money be the only thing you waste not your time too do not take the course even if you ve paid for it

Dreadful

Absolutely dreadful course A powerpoint read by a robotic AI voice I am a cleaner and have been for some time I purchased the British Cleaning Course for an employee thinking it would give them a little training before I took them on jobs Thank heavens I reviewed the course first The advice given is appalling Unblocking drains bleaching things washing carpets We aren t plumbers or carpet cleaners This kind of information would get a cleaner sacked
